You find this type of word formation in other Qur'an translations. Jouhadi for example: amallay = الرحمان amsmulu = الرحيم amssaruf = الغفور It's part of the neology engine working to calque the Arabic nominal form.

Yep, pretty much tiqulla, and it was considered a game for girls; boys played it until they started feeling the tyranny of masculine identification :)

PPS: re llqafen: there are 2 quasi-related games: one played with sheep knucklebones 'tikkʷɛa' (you toss them and depending on how they land sideways, belly up you have to call, etc) the other with small round stones 'tiqulla' (you toss one in the air and spread the others, etc) Different games

Akso in SE Morocco 'iɣǝrɣǝr': flat terrain. There is even a village in the Gheris region of the sane name. Did a quick lookup, and neither Taš (Stroomer) nor CA (Taïfi) have it. Stroomer has 'iɣǝrɣǝr': nid rempli d'œufs. Cl. Ar. (Doha Dict) has ca. 6th C. القرقر: القاع الأملس الواسع من الأرض

I am not sure what "integrated" means? That they live in the same Ksar and have a designated "mǝllaḥ"? Are they included in the governance body 'tažmaɛt'? Many iɣrm in the Ghris region have jewish communities living alongside non-jews, but are not represented in gov, same as 'iqbliyn' in some Ksars

One can say, it is even encoded in the word 'Amaziɣ' itself, with its denotation of "noble" (opposed the servile) and "free" (opposed to "unfree"). Some dictionaries go as far as qualifying it as "white" (cf. Haddachi, not the only one)

Tmz: 'aly' : climb, go up, ascend... 'ḍṛ' : to fall, by ext. to descend, drop-off there is also 'ggz, ggʷz' : descend climb down. 'asawn' & 'agussu' (& related verbs) describe an incline from opposite ends: looking up vs looking down

'ʕari' is synonymous with 'adrar'. In SE Morocco, it is the more common word for mountain. We call the 'forest warden' : bu-ʕari. I did a quick Dictionary check, it is in Amaniss, Haddachi, Taïfi (Tmz SE & CA), not in Yeou (Fig) and not in Stroomer (Taš)
