The example that comes to mind for ESB are the Duncans, which are two sisters that made a star wars fanzine after the first movie. fanlore.org/wiki/Open_Le... Starlog 39, 40 and 41 also had fan mail where people had very similar complaints about it as they had with TLJ.

Excerpt of the fanzine "against the sith" by Tracy and Nancy Duncan, in which they explain that they'll stop said fanzine because Empire Strikes Back ruined Star Wars for them.

They also mention "a split" in the fandom and how they aren't alone in their choice to leave it because empire strikes back ruined the franchise.

I painted metal minis for the first time today, there's interesting differences with plastics, the biggest one is that until they're painted it's quite difficult to realise how they'll look like. These are 15mm from alternative armies

Three mounted front facing knights, they all have jousting lances.

One of the knight has a silver armour and orange garments, one has a golden armour and green garments, and one has a bronze armour and purple garments.

Their lances are all white with a red swirl

We can see that their color schemes extends to their horses' apparel

Related to the conundrum I just said : here's the game that got me back into wargaming. It started as an expansion for a TTRPG and I don't know who else owns a copy as it never officially released I hope to release a PDF version of it with the approval of one of the authors (the other passed away)

So I decided to do a full Dragon Form run of Dark Souls for shits and giggles and I was extremely lucky on my first Ornstein & Smough run. (I checked and I was at 6 HP)

The second one would be Adibou, which I played mostly at my elementary school's library. This one is more of an activity center type of deal, it leans more on the entertainment part of "edutainment", it's seen as a classic in France though, most people in their 20s and 30s remembers it fondly.
