I'm thinking Ramin Djawadi or Lorne Balfe. I liked Djawadi's score for "Game of Thrones", and Balfe has a wide range of music, including the D&D: Honor Among Thieves movie. Also a bardcore-style pop theme in there by Tame Impala with Chappell Roan.

Jey has one just below her right breast, and a matching one on her back; it's narrow, about a inch and a half side to side and about three-quarters of an inch top to bottom. It looks like it's made of diamond, but it feels like flesh. The Diamond Scar happens when you've been killed and come back.

It occurs to me that if anyone cares enough they’d try to ban my books. Ballad of the Grey Swan has a trans MC, a lesbian relationship, and some enthusiastic lesbian sex with a magical sex toy. Fiendblood has at its core a lesbian relationship, with a pan MC.

Because of the climate, there are no large sandy areas we think of as deserts in Taeliana, but there are the Khu-Talas Steppes (which are technically deserts by the rainfall definition). They're very much like the Kazakh portion of the Eurasian steppes.

Oh gods. If it was Jey and Maisie, they had one of those moments of "we should have a dinner party!" and then they tag-team off who does what. Both have some ability to cook, both are good at organizing, both are socializers, and honestly they are partners in all these things in life.

13. How organized are your characters? Jey - The Grey Swan - is very organized. She was effectively the seneschal of her father's barony; to do that *and* be a successful bandit needed a LOT of the organization! And even after escaping, she was a professional barrister, which needs organization.

A scene I wrote ahead of the actual plot-writing, because it amused me, but this is going to be in Shadowborn.

Imago glanced at the dozen people around her, reading them quickly. All of them had the look of hirelings who’d survived skirmishes, bar fights, even ambushing caravans, and a pair of them had the bearing of trained warriors – ex-soldiers or former caravan guards. All of them looked at one slender elvenblood woman who was shorter than even the shortest of them, and very obviously seemed unimpressed. She could almost hear the thought they all had, in one way or another:

“This is the famous Imago? She doesn’t look like that much. I could take her.”

Good. She liked it when they were stupid.

I also had a massive meltdown last night that I tried to hide. My wife put a video on eyeshadow on, and the person was talking about how it was "so much easier than most people think!" And then goes to "...but this won't cover hooded eyelids, so you'll have to find other sources to teach you."

Each book has at least one antagonist - Fiendblood covers the most time, so it has more - but they're all connected eventually. There's the Tyrant's Cabal, which is a group of powerful individuals seeking to seize power, and each of the books has someone from the Cabal involved.

For Jey, it was the realization that she was trans, that her father would never understand or approve, that she found a woman who loved her and also seemed to have her life set up already (her parents expected her to marry and take over the inn), and they needed to escape.

Hi there! For Lesbian Visibility Month, I would like to note that in both my novels, the core relationships are lesbians. In Ballad of the Grey Swan, Jey is trans and Maisie is cis but both are lesbians, and in Fiendblood Meliantha is pansexual and Liliana is very, very gay.
