Hmm, so apparently the result of growing up mixed between KY, TN, CO, VA & AZ plus later TX, CA & FL. Only lived in that “most like you” area for a year. And, well, that area doesn’t touch NJ at all so summary is wrong…

Recently Douglas Adams works has been coming to mind a lot (for example, AI companies hiring philosophers as well…)

Quote from The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams:

" O Deep Thought computer," he said, 'the task we have designed you to perform is this. We want you to tell us...." he paused,
"The Answer.
"The Answer?" said Deep Thought. "The
Answer to what?"
"Life!" urged Fook.
"The Universe!" said Lunkwill.
"Everything!" they said in chorus.
Deep Thought paused for a moment's reflection.
"Tricky," he said finally.
"But can you do it?"
Again, a significant pause.
"Yes,
" said Deep Thought, "I can do it."
"There is an answer?" said Fook with breathless excitement.
"Yes," said Deep Thought. "Life, the Universe, and Everything. There is an answer. But, I'll have to think about it."
Fook glanced impatiently at his watch.
"How long?" he said.
"Seven and a half million years," said Deep Thought.
Lunkwill and Fook blinked at each other.
"Seven and a half million years..." they cried in chorus.
"Yes,
"I said I'd have to think about it didn’t I?”

“You wouldn’t vibe-code a computer case!” Not being a CAD person & needing a simple box for a project, yes I would. Iteratively gave ChatGPT dimensions & design needs, got @openscad.bsky.social code that I tweaked & printed. Took a few tries due to my ineptitude w/measurements but results are OK.

Hey @colorado.gov you need to get on this NOW!!! The state is endangering it’s citizens by putting up even more roadblocks to getting the vaccine that the quack at HHS is doing his best to keep from being available to anyone.

CVS will make the vaccines available nationwide if the advisory panel recommends them, Ms. Thibault said. But since the panel hasn't yet made a decision, the company is holding off in states where it believes its pharmacists need a C.D.C. endorsement.
Those states are Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Utah, Virginia and West Virginia, along with the District of Columbia.
Pharmacies have traditionally been a crucial access route to the Covid vaccine,
accounting for a vast majority of shots given last year. The CVS move is a strong signal that federal decisions could reduce access more than the restrictions laid out on paper, and the confusion is likely to crop up at other pharmacies as well, legal experts said.

There was a huge, 100+ year old tree that had been at the center of downtown Parker, CO until recently. It unfortunately needed to be removed due to age and disease but the town chose to turn the trunk into a new piece of art. Not sure if they’re finished but looking great already!
