Life has been crazy busy, so this is how I've been watching the World Cup. #makeaterriblecomicday2026

A rough sketch 3 panel comic of a woman sleeping on a couch, raising arms to scream gooooal, and then going back to sleep.

I've been experimenting with a new tool/toy and I have the perfect model.

A calico cat is sniffing a camera which has a picture of the same cat on the viewscreen.

hey, i made a terrible comic instead of working #makeaterriblecomicday2025

panel 1: a person is pointing on a bed where cats are lying in a way that leaves a vaguely human outline in the middle, saying "this is my hole!! it was made for me!!
panel 2: a twisted shape of a person lies on the bed, screaling silently as the cats sleep peacefully in random positions

Learning! First multiple color, but still struggling with understanding patterns. Just gonna keep practicing.

Crochet in purple, green and cream layers, shaped like a hexagon.

Crochet practice in a purple lace round with a gold crochet hook.

Learning how to crochet, and it is a good alternative to doom scrolling. Just messing around with rows so far, but have Ideas for some projects.

GenAI has polluted image search results, especially for animal pics. It’s now basically impossible to find accurate art references. Enter this: a repository of open-access, AI-free images of wild & exotic taxa. Artists creating *without AI* have blanket permission for derivative/transformative use.

Maddie (Madeleine) won the Chewy customer service lottery today by being named after a baked good - got this hand painted picture of her in the mail!

These earrings and a star bracelet arrived today! I was worried at how it would feel to pull the chain threw my piercings, but it had no issues, and the magnetic clasp for the (cat approved) bracelet makes putting it on/off super easy while still being strong! Thanks @peculiarityshop.bsky.social

I learned tonight during a retirement speech, that of all things, my dad has used a quote from Starlight Express as a way to approach life. He even choked up while quoting the song. He would have seen the show 40 years ago in London, and "I Am the Starlight" struck that much of a chord.

Been painting new seasonal inserts to swap into this decorative heart! Wanted to have some pieces that spoke more to my life than the basics it already had.

Decorative heart with removable seasonal decoration of a hand turkey.

My new jewelry from @peculiarityshop.bsky.social arrived today, and they are officially in the "a danger to my wallet" category of shops.

Been an interesting couple of days at work, in a good, personal way. Waiting for paperwork to be official 'n all, but.... fully leaving admin support is an interesting thing to coincide with my ten-year mark.
