Question for Bowen/Duigan: Given the interest will be capitalised into regulated asset base of at least $6b, isn’t it true the annual charges will be around $700m per year of which Tas energy consumers will pay $175m? How can you say energy bills will come down when transmission charges double?

HydroTas celebrate 50 yrs of the Gordon Dam. Restoring Lake Pedder means draining a storage impoundment which feeds into Lake Gordon. It does not impact the Gordon Dam. It means they can still celebrate the dam but add a world scale restoration project! What’s not to love? #politas #auspol

Insurance is huge issue in Australia too. We cannot allow insurance companies to determine where people live and the value of their house/property. Govt’s have to step up with serious planning scheme reform and compensation provision.
