So-called “white collar” crimes need to be punished much more harshly. The problem is that the ones making the laws and the ones sentencing see themselves and their “kind” in the guilty.

The US is condemned to always play a game of “stupid or liar” about racism. Every time something obviously racist comes out, the people raising the issue are called “critics” and the issue is called a “controversy”. “I only see someone holding a pair of shoes being lit by the company’s logo” 🙄

“Are you wearing a tie?” Hakeem Jeffries: “I can tell that you’re asking me a yes-or-no question on a basic, verifiable fact, and what I really want the American people to hear right now is the damage that has been done to…” Insane.

This is absolutely WILD. Here's the dashboard video posted by @fritschner.bsky.social. Fast forward to about 1 minute. An ICE officer jumps out of a van and pulls a gun on this woman immediately before lying and claiming she "almost ran us over." *profanity warning if watching in public.

I'm selling a #LEGO set and had no luck on Facebook and Craigslist. So I give eBay a try and get a sale the next day! Amazing! Now the buyer tells me he expected a fully built set because the pictures were of the set built. People are really weird.

There clearly isn’t a direct link between AI and cheaper food and housing. And that’s clear evidence that it’s simply a lie aimed at catering to what people care and worry the most about. He might as well say “more and deeper orgasms”.

He’s onto something… maybe laying stuff flat is easier than laying it vertically? Has anyone tested this? He should tell his SpaceX buddy, it would save so much on fuel!!!

The post itself sounds like AI slop. If it is, it sucks and feels hollow. If it’s not, I guess she does need some tools because this isn’t a difficult post to write by yourself.

Why do we need to be flooded with the Met gala like this? It feels like a new thing from the past few years. This thing stinks of the worst elitism, but people don’t care because the people they think are cool are going.

Shout out to all the sweet, pure, gentle souls that doesn't know that we've been here before, and still believe that his approval rating can go lower to 20% or 15% or 10%. It can't. Not unless he has a change of heart and gives up on white nationalism.🤷🏿‍♂️

The IRS thing is truly nauseating. If it goes through as is, I’d want all of it to be treated as something like treason to the country, for everyone involved. It’s beyond corruption, it’s literally looting and to levels unimaginable.

“According to the NBC News Decision Desk Poll released on Sunday, only 37 percent of adults approve of Trump’s work as president” These stories have been running for over a year now and it’s always the same thing: hits new low, and the new low is the same 36-37%.

I’d like these stories to be presented as “will attempt to read”, because he’s not good at following a script without dropping some useless “flourishes”, but most importantly, it’s hard not to stumble when you read something for the very first time.

The recipient finally received these two #lego MOCs. The set of @dropout.tv’s #GameChanger with @samreich.bsky.social of course. And the @taskmaster.tv house with Little @alexhorne.bsky.social. Plus random props for #Taskmaster: a golden banana, a slice of watermelon, and a red telephone.
Mini set of the game show Game Changer in LEGO.
It’s a Sam Reich-looking minifig at his lectern with the yellow orange and red wall twirls and the rainbow screen. The back wall is light blue and surrounded in blue bricks.
The front is black tiles because it’s supposed to be display set like some of the cities.
Mini set of the Taskmaster house.
It’s a flat version with only the front of the house. Little Alex Horne is out front with a pen and a clipboard.
There’s a pineapple on the ground to the left. A sealed envelope is waiting on the front steps.
The set is also surrounded by black tiles

We saw Steph and Ayesha Curry at the airport (surprisingly casual, left alone, and walking back to the garage like normal people), didn’t interact, stare at him, or take a photo out of “let people live their lives” respect. But considering the date, my son is not 100% convinced it’s true. 😄

I think the “tax the billionaires” movement is not focusing enough on the fact that they should be distributing the wealth earlier to all the people who work for them. Maybe it’s just that it’s the simpler (and more self-serving?) approach from a government’s perspective.

In the past 3 weeks, I designed 3 #LEGO MOCs with Bricklink Studio and I'm halfway through receiving the parts from 8 vendors. I'm really amazed and grateful by Bricklink and its vendors. I can't fathom the work it takes to obtain, prepare, catalogue, package out… thousands of parts in many colors.

I don’t get why some people are trying to keep Digg around, probably for the fourth time now. As if the names Digg and Kevin Rose were still so valuable on their own… The people for whom they mean anything at all aren’t your target audience. (Or shouldn’t be)

I've said it before, but I 100% believe that the president of the United States doesn't know the lyrics to the national anthem. That would be something like "oh say can you seeee… and the thing is, you really can see it, not many people know that, but you can, and now much better than ever!"

Reddit knows that this DOGE guy and that nazi from Inglorious Basterds look exactly the same.
Screenshot of Reddit showing two stories on the front page. The first is from /r/law and titled "DOGE staffer responsible for flagging grants for 'DEI' struggles to define DEI", the second is from /r/AskTheWorld and titled "Like the three-finger scene in Inglorious Basterds, what small cultural mistake would instantly reveal that someone isn't from your country?".
The first one has a frame from the video of the interview of the DOGE guy and the second has the picture of the nazi looking at the three fingers.

Both guys look strikingly similar. Literally it could be the same guy.

I’m constantly intrigued by how the YouTube algorithm works. It will show you one channel a ton for a bit and if you don’t subscribe, eventually it’ll stop showing it to you essentially forever. I wonder if it’s intentional to push people to subscribe more. But that would require people to notice…

“Brady's death in 2014 was eventually ruled a homicide, caused by the gunshot wound he received 33 years earlier in 1981.” I don’t know man… we have to draw the line at how far after an injury a death can count as homicide. 33 years is not it.

The funny thing is that the people I picture using these gambling sites don’t feel like the “care deeply about voting” kind. “Projected” simply sounds more serious than “a bunch of sad dudes gambled more than they really should on one particular outcome based on what they heard on podcasts”.

I got the email for an account I don’t use, but didn’t read far enough to understand the consequences. That it’s not even backward safe is ridiculous. You’ll have people who shared lists years ago and don’t even realize. Amateur hour. (Well not really, they know)

Last year we went to a college alumni summer camp. There, one parent started a drinking chant with the staff (made of students) and joined the group, beer in hand, jumping around and chanting. It turned out the guy wasn’t even an alumni at all. This video reminded me of that.

It’s crazy the influence some people manage to create. I saw CNN using some betting odds as data. Now they’re pretending it’s useful for journalism. (also implying that someone with a Substack blog is all of a sudden a journalist) It’s just random guys betting on random stuff!

I don’t know why there isn’t more outrage at how crap HDR videos make everything look on phones. One moment you’re using your app like normal, the next the whole UI is washed out and your phone is trying to blind you. Who wants this?

Newsom opposes the proposed ballot to tax billionaires? Shocking. What’s the argument against? It’s all made up! Everything around us is made up. So we could make a rule that you can’t be a billionaire. Who would be hurt by that? It hurts nothing and no one. Concerned by people missing the satire.

Because I apparently like unnecessary challenges, I started a new #embroidery project with metallic thread. Compensated the thread choice with doing simple satin stitch. Still going slow because of the thread, but hey at least it’s a small hoop.
Picture of an embroidery project.
It’s black canvas with a sticky pattern on it and some of the pattern started in gold thread.
The pattern shows the letters SPRHMN in uppercase and two lines. The letters are blocky and done in negative space with basic shadow of the letters on the sides. I really have no idea how to describe this. It’s as if the letters are extruded up and to the left, and the extrusion part is the black.
Hope that makes sense!
