it's worth trying the demo at least. could always recommend going back to the older ones though you can't really go wrong with very many of them

the boss made this feel very apparent to me. it doesn't feel like anything from any of the earlier castlevania games but it does feel a lot like something like dead cells, which is probably bc the devs of that are working on this but i think it's notable that that's who they chose in the first place

the demo is interesting, feels like it takes more from things inspired by castlevania than it does castlevania itself, which isn't really an issue but it does make it feel like a sort of telephone game version of castlevania

i think it's like. interesting set up and i'm interested to see where it goes in later events and stuff but it doesn't really feel like it lays out its cards on the table until the very end so the most interesting stuff hasn't had a lot done with it yet

yeah that's the thing. in terms of difficulty it's completely fine so far but god does it feel like you're in a giant sprawling labyrinth that goes on forever
