Systems engineer, servant-leader, Belknap County (NH) Dems and Laconia Dems Vice-Chair. My opinions only. One tool isn't enough to build a house. We need "freedom from" as well as "freedom to". I block on vibes because personal space is good.

Sometimes smart people reach stupid conclusions. Politics is not a sport. Politics is war by other means, and reasonable people want to keep it from being actual war. If one party rejects the rule of law to rule without consent of the people, there is no legitimate government until we restore it.
Post from Ty Schalter (tyschalter.com) that reads: no actually, “we gerrymander as revenge for their gerrymander” is the bad stuff. if you can’t win with a level playing field, tilting the field is not a long- or even medium-term solution (and nationalizing state politics is also bad)

Corporate media / social media has seduced and divided us into inaction. Doomers, willingly or not, serve the billionaires. The way we survive is also the way we rebuild: organize locally. Fight for Approval Voting, anti-corruption, and better media. Run for something local/state!

Excerpt from an 18th century pamphlet: "There is nothing that keeps wicked Men at any one Moment, out of Hell, but the meer Pleasure of GOD. By the meer Pleasure of God, I mean his sovereign Pleasure, his arbitrary Will, restrained by no Obligation, hinder'd by no manner of Difficulty, any more than if nothing else bu tGod's meer Will had in the least Degree, or in any Respect whatsoever, any Hand in the Preservation of wicked Men one Moment."

Excerpt from Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God. A Sermon Preached at Enfield, July 8th, 1741, by Jonathan Edwards, Church of Christ in Northampton.

A hand-coloured print of three figures representing Honour, Integrity and Corruption. In the middle stands Sir Francis Burdett the Political reformer wearing a sash marked 'Magna Charta' as he leads the honest John Bull by the hand. Bull holds a piece of paper marked 'A staunch supporter of the Bill of Rights', signalling his support for Burdett. On the right stands the 'monster of corruption', a hideously deformed figure clasping bags of bribery in its 'hands of extortion.' An enlarged eye in the centre of its head is marked 'An eye to Interest.' Inscribed in the plate: Tegg's Caricatures No 15 / Price one shilling coloured / Pubd May 9th 1810 by Thos Tegg No 111 Cheapside

This is a place where I would expect the seasoned activists to step up with a toolkit to promote PRODUCTIVE conflict as a way to build trust and results. People like to shit on managers, which is statistically valid, but good *leaders* know how to use SBI and increase solidarity formation.
Pyramid of The Five Dysfunctions of a Team (by Patrick Lenioni)
Base: Absence of Trust - Go first!
Next level up: Fear of Conflict - Mine for conflict
Middle level: Lack of Commitment - Force clarity & closure
Penultimate level: Avoidance of Accountability - Confront difficult issues
Top of pyramid: Inattention to results - Focus on collective outcomes
