This is what I've been working on since January. I'm really pleased with what we've built, but most of all I'm proud of the open source community that we've built around it. It grew quicker than I could ever have imagined, and there's no way we could've shipped such a good product without them

Thought leaders are out there declaring the end of handwritten code. Meanwhile I'm stuck in obsolete hiring pipelines being asked to do leetcode challenges and fix old React apps by hand like it's the 2010s 🙄

Any idea how long the X suspension appeal queue might be these days? It's been six weeks since I reactivated an account over there only to be immediately shut down for "inauthentic behavior" 🤔

Still on the job hunt and sometimes the process feels like something out of another geological era. Yes, we're still being subjected to leetcode challenges and pre-hooks React bug-hunting! I was prepared for no AI assistance on this last application but no TypeScript in a clunky old IDE was painful.

Finally got around to converting another project from WordPress to Astro this weekend! That leaves only two more, and then I never have to deal with WordPress again (unless someone pays me to suffer through it).

I've really warmed up to Takumi as a Satori replacement. Migration was nearly painless, no more janky CSS subset with unexpected layout quirks, non-Latin character output is way less hassle, it's twice as fast for most of my projects, and it also works nicely in a dynamic environment. Recommended!

I've been logging build duration, page count, and other metrics on one of my @astro.build projects for months now. Out of curiosity I charted the results; Astro 7 and the new Rust-based markdown compiler Sätteri had quite an impact on build times! (Note the log scale.)
