I'm using Darktable's Negadoctor. Workflow is slight rotate, crop (leaving some unexposed negative visible), Negadoctor, RGB Curves if needed, Exposure if needed, and a final crop to remove the unexposed neg. Used this video as a starting point (skip halfway for colour film): youtu.be/On3BqhXYJM0
