iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Uhh... do i revive this since i had to dust it off for WC varification?

🦉Sylver the Caffeine Owl🦉 @sylvervtea.bsky.social · 02/01/2025

I've played previous AC games, because of that and watching some videos and streams, i passed on it. I could have missed, but the implication of... Unnatural scale of many others (like gundam games for a dif example) i've always struggled with picking up mechas. Was also just an easy example to me.

But I dont feel the same scale in other mechas (hence why I just dislike them, everything feels... comical and unrealistic/reasonable) and other games in general a lot of the time, and really got me thinking/appreciating CoD, RE, and PT, so thanks. And if interested, hopefully a vid on scale to come

But I never considered other games like cod, or thinking back to your burnout paradise video, or other games and just how much accurate scale REALLY matters for immersion. I single out titanfall, because the scale of being a large robot feels translatable because of the infantry contrast

Hey @anyaustin.bsky.social I just wanted to mention, having watched your video on Call of duty's clean house mission, It got me thinking about scale. I've always had an issue with mecha games because of how un-immersive they feel with scale (except titanfall)

Welcome, new users! You just helped us set a new record high for traffic on our service. 👋 Early today, we experienced degraded performance on our server, causing the app to be slow for users, but this is now resolved.

One part of our upgraded infrastructure may affect your profile. If you see your handle now says “Invalid handle,” please reverify it by navigating to Settings > Change my handle > Type in your current handle > Verify DNS Record > Update. (Basically, update to the same handle.)

If you're seeing "Invalid Handle" on your profile, this should resolve on its own — thanks for your patience!! 🦋

Thats fair, and all. I dont think its perfect and abusable, but it does clarify that you're not gonna get banned for saying "im trans" (toxic behavior/mass reporting aside), i just wanted to make sure it was known so people who dont look past a single screenshot have more information

🦉Sylver the Caffeine Owl🦉 @sylvervtea.bsky.social · 02/11/2024

Just gonna add this here for people. It provides more context... It's not a perfect solution, but im seeing a lot of people not reading further and thinking before throwing a fit. saying "im trans" is very different from talking about ongoing issues and situations around trans rights and hate.

hey Zach, Is there a reason you did not include this note as to what doesn't require tagging? It adds a lot of context to what's ok. I'm not sure if it may have been added after post or what, but plenty of people only look at the screenshot and not further. It's not much, but says a lot.
