iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

anyway i now own both versions of the game and i am pleased as punch to say that both copies are fucked up in their own ways

Two copies of Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). The PS3 copy is in a badly beat up 3rd party case with torn stickers, browning and more. The Xbox 360 copy is pristine but its boxart is inset in an obnoxious manner to dedicate a huge amount of space to declaring it to be part of the "Platinum Family Hits" line.

NEVER MIND ATARI 2600 IS BACK ON THE MENU BOYS TYSM @notquiteapex.net !!!!!!!!!!!

Picture of insanely crisp RGB video output from an Atari 2600 running Namco's arcade classic Dig Dug.

We've zoomed way out from the laptop showing the footage to show the whole dining room table, which has been converted into Apex's game modding workspace. Video recording hardware sits on top of the Atari 2600 case on the right, while the open Atari 2600 hardware can be seen to the left. A tray of snacks and a toolbox are in the background. Wormmon peeks in from behind the table.

Uh oh. More friends seemed to have joined us. What's going on…?

Wormmon is still holding "Digimon All-Star Rumble" for Xbox 360. He's now flanked by Amity the Ampharos holding "Super Smash Bros." for Nintendo 64 and Ribbit the frog holding "WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$!" for GameCube.

doodle i drew to comfort a friend who was having trouble sleeping. dissy's head proportions are all off but the point was to draw it as fast as possible to cheer up my pal and it worked so it makes me happy :)

dissy the sleep-cap wearing vaporeon is lying down with its tail curled around a shiny cleffa with a sad expression

I didn't even know this video game existed. It's probably terrible. You bet your ass I'm going to stream it

i love the green stars in super mario galaxy 2 because they were clearly built for like one very specific type of sicko and no one else yet despite their niche appeal they still actually made it into the game

update: this is going really, really well

posts from Harmony Friends reading:
"now that home support is in legends z-a and every single pokemon is in at least one mainline switch game i begin the horribly arduous task that is backing up my entire pokemon home living dex by downloading them all to fresh files on my old switch and doing a nand backup."
"i last made a backup of my living dex before the transition from bank to home, and it's gotten a lot more impressive since then by containing not just all species but all forms as well. but "dexit" screwed up your ability to keep all your pokemon without paying a subscription ransom"
"with the switch 2's beefed-up security, this will likely be my last chance in a long time to make a hard backup of my collection, so I'm going to take this super seriously and meticulously. it'll take a lot of effort but it'll be worth it to preserve the past ~9 years of my hobby"

Living dex page 1-1. A Charizard, "DiCAPRIO", caught by HINCHY in a Game Boy Virtual Console game, is highlighted.

Shiny collection page 2-1. An Ampharos, "Pink Amity", caught by Aurora in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, is highlighted.

Shiny collection page 1-1. A shiny Butterfree, "Truman", caught by Winona in Pokémon: Let's Go, is highlighted.

one of the things that makes me happiest about this update is that the harmony friends are no longer sorted by alphabetical order but rather into groups like it's the Brawl menu or whatever

Screenshot of the Select Your Harmony Friend! toy.
Top row: Melody, Rhythm, Fate, Sunny, Stella, Aurora, Amity, Serafina
Row 2: Mara, Dissy, Nene, Chloe, Bonnie, May, Shauna, Eri
Row 3: Hikari, Takeru, Taichi, Miyako, Sage, Amy Rose, Fang, Bella
Bottom row: Tailmon, Patamon, Armadimon, Wormmon, Shuichi, Maki, Himiko, Vivian

Screenshot of the Select Your Harmony Friend! toy with groups overlaid. The top row of 8 is for the Stella subsystem and Between Worlds characters, the second row of 8 is mostly for other Pokémon and Pokémon Trainers, the bottom left quadrant of 8 is for Chosen Children and partner Digimon, and the leftover space is divided into small Sonic, TTYD, and Danganronpa V3 areas.

Found an interesting artifact: a physical CD set I tried to produce of the album "Tungsten" and two related EPs ("Canning at the Border" and "Canning and the Towering Bow") by @mryes.bsky.social. the inside back cover always printed blank despite multiple test prints/revisions, so it never shipped.

aim for the top! gunbuster still slaps incredibly hard, a concentrated dose of great characters and intriguing themes. I'm seriously upset that the 2022 discotek blu-ray of it along with the brand new english dub they made for it is ALREADY OUT OF PRINT but I managed to snag a copy and preserve it

and for funsies, because i am a self-indulgent silly-dilly ding dong: a third nine games, consisting ONLY of sequels, prequels, and spiritual successors of stuff from the first two.

Our THIRD nine games, SEQUELS/PREQUELS/SPIRITUAL SUCCESSORS ONLY EDITION, are: Pokémon Black, Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Mother 3, We Love Katamari, Kirby: Planet Robobot, Resident Evil 4 (2005), and Portal.

I had to do another page. I couldn't stop at 9. I think I can stop here as long as I'm committing to the "only one game per franchise" rule.

Our second nine games are: Katamari Damacy, Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, Minecraft: Java Edition, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, VVVVVV, Portal 2, Picross DS, The Walking Dead (season 1), and Chip's Challenge.

Pokémon Black and White are 15 years old today. I still remember how excited they made me for the future of the series and how disappointed I was in my fellow pkmn oldheads for rejecting it despite its back-to-basics principles. The regressions the series made in light of its reception still sting

I'm in a rather desperate financial situation so against my better judgment I am opening up music commissions. 3 slots, $75/min, $100 upfront and the rest upon completion of the piece. Arrangements or originals. I work slow due to disability, sorry. Examples of my work at music.sylveon.gay
