I hear that some senior PIs are seriously giving talks about replacing PhD students with armies of robotic arms and agents. Personally I’m not sure PIs aren’t easier to replace… in what world are we living.

Mon expérience c’est qu’il faut s’y prendre bien en avance, et que ça marche une fois sur 2 à peu près, ce qui n’est déjà jamais pas si mal. Maintenant effectivement c’est peut être un secret bien gardé.

Totalement d’accord avec ça… je suis paradoxalement parfois plus efficace pour faire de la science dans les moments de bourre dans les interstices, que pendant les périodes de relatif creux, où on a juste envie de souffler un peu.
