iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I have been in an extraordinary amount of pain this week. There's something wrong on the neck/back/shoulder region, and it's absolutely excruciating. I haven't been able to do much, but I was able to make an appointment to get checked out today. Hopefully, I'm not below salvation.

Getting @discotekmedia.bsky.social titles in Canada has been difficult and/or expensive in recent years. Amazon.ca recently listed a bunch, sold by Amazon.com, not a 3rd party seller. Reasonable prices compared to importing. This one arrived today. I'm no fan of Amazon, but it worked out. #anime

What a cute little set! I would love to have one of those and hook it up to a Blu Ray player.

Here's my #NineAnimes thing. I tried to pick series that were influential in my life as an #anime fan and artist, as well as featuring characters that I relate to, instead of just picking my favorites. But a lot of these are my favorites anyway. Kind of a tossup choosing Giant Robo over GaoGaiGar.

Astro Boy (1980s), Street Fighter II Movie, Evangelion, Castle of Cogliostro, Captain Harlock, Fist of the North Star, Gunbuster, Giant Robo, Black Jack.

I was unsure if I was sick or if I was just a big allergic mess. Now I'm coughing, and these coughs are coming from DEEP. So I guess I'm sick, but I'm not 100% sure, because this is like nothing else I've ever experienced.

I was hoping to crack into the newest wave of #Transformers Blokees, but I found myself incredibly confused when the way-too-small packaged arrived and disappointed when I opened it. They only sent me ONE? I ordered a sealed case of 12!

After yesterday's #NintendoDirect, I am even deeper into thinking that maybe video games are passing me by. There were some truly great announcements. I'd like to play Monster Hunter. Metroid looks rad. Kirby looks fantastic. But am I actually going to pay for any of this stuff? 🤷‍♂️

I had not slept very much for the past few days, largely due to traveling and stress, but also due to being a weird guy in general. It was good to finally sleep now that I'm home. But I slept through Nintendo Direct, and everyone is talking about things I've never heard of. Feels weird.

Awesome! I'm so glad that you found me here. Deciding where to stick a sticker can be daunting. It's a big commitment! Have fun with that!

I'm back home. One full day in Toronto felt like an entire lifetime. It was still too short. But I needed it. Seeing #BABYMETAL live again was exactly what the doctor ordered.

Ninjatron @sykografix.com · 08/09/2026

I gave away most of my #BABYMETAL stickers at the concert in Toronto. It felt nice to surprise so many people like that. Everyone was really appreciative, and some were stunned! If you got a sticker from me and tracked me down, let me know! I'd love to see what people do with them.

#BABYMETAL in Toronto was absolutely incredible and completely electrifying. They have so much energy, and it filled the audience with power. This was my third time seeing them live, and this time was the best concert yet. I was so close to the stag, and the entire show blew my mind.

Thanks to everyone to watched my stream tonight. I got through all the way to the very end of #Transformers Devastation. it was great to hear Peter Cullen's voice while playing a great game. That voice will always be around, any time we want to hear it again. My voice is shot though. Goodnight.

Fair enough! It makes an impression in its own way, and he was just doing what he was told to do. Modern movie posters are generally pretty boring these days.

Ninjatron @sykografix.com · 15/08/2026

I've seen this floating around a bit and, while an amusing story for what it is, I'm a bit bothered by the coverage of it. Speculation on my part, but if an actual artist took the time to do a really good drawing instead of a silly one like this, would it have made the news? Probably not, right?

I've never seen an in-game prompt that took the time to distinguish "collect" and "grab" as being separate actions that accomplish the same thing with the same button. "Collect / Grab them all!" Also the game has long cut scenes that are obviously not the same voices as the show.

000

Ninjatron @sykografix.com · 09/08/2026

I found the #Transformers Earthspark video game at a pawn shop recently and tried it out on stream last night. As expected, it's not a great game, but it's not totally terrible either. Very flawed and missing polish, but I can see the ambition in it. This part made me laugh, though.

Bumblebee in a rocky desert environment stands in front of a collectible in game item while the prompt "(B) COLLECT / GRAB" appears above him.

Why is every scroll bar these days just some skinny little thing that is only a few pixels wide and you have to be so freaking precise to even be able to click on it at all? It's just once example of how the Internet is being designed by people who never use it or think about the users.

It's a Brand New Day. Time to watch Spidey. Haven't watched a movie at the theater this early in the day before. But I didn't want to wait any longer and risk accidently seeing more spoilers. #SpidermanBrandNewDay
