Got some better photos of my paintings from this spring semester, will be uploading them to this thread! Starting off with my Final assignment, a full body self portrait--30"x40" oil on stretched canvas

Final Self Portrait, oil paint on 30"x40" stretched canvas, full body portrait. Hands and knee pressed against a transparent plexiglass for the pose, and the border I used reference photos I took of the streets around my apartment :)

Final illustration for this Spring's Illustration Studio course! A companion piece plus a spot illustration for a poem, I went with Emily Dickinson's "From Blank to Blank" for its abstractness that lent itself well to surrealism :)

$Mixed media illustration of an hourglass surrounded by a fractal wood frame. Bottom half has a figure-shaped form made of sand that is hugging their knees. Top has swirling and stormy sand pit with a smaller figure walking toward the center.$ $"From Blank to Blank" poem by Emily Dickinson. Spot illustration of a candle and snuffer with swirling smoke and paralleled fractal wood dowels.$

Poster Assignment for my Illustration course! I'm still figuring out digital painting, this is a combo of scanned in line-work and going crazy with smudging colors. Prompt was to illustrate the definition of a silly-sounding word, specifically from a book called "L is for Lollygag."

Poster illustrating the definition of a funny sounding word. "Nosey Parker - someone who sticks their nose where it does not belong." Image shows a dog pulling on a leash through a bush, their nose winding around branches to get to a pizza slice already being grabbed by a rat.

On my road trips between the bay area and socal i always see this slab of concrete that someone grafitti'd "the world is flat" on, meanwhile it overlooks a valley and foothills clearly not flat. Iconic. I finally got a picture. Honestly this should be a public monument imo.

Slabs of concrete on a road side turnout, words painted on it say "the world is flat." Located near Casa de Fruita in California.

Seagull drawings as the first intro project for this semester! An icebreaker exercise, where we had to do one image in our least favorite medium and the second in our favorite one. Digital is still my least favorite for now... Prompt was to create a character based off a list of food items. 🤭

Small sketches in the morning, attempts at a spotted angel wing begonia on my desk that is a conundrum of complementing colors. Trying to paint something that is red and green at the same time, while not muddling the colors, has become my lil personal challenge :)

2025 grid for the year! 💫 Trying to be more active with posting art again, my energy was quite zapped this past year. I lost my soul dog over the summer, so finding motivation again has been a battle. I am so inspired by fellow artists on here tho--looking onward and upward for the new year!

9 box grid, selfie in center surrounded by art I made over this past year. Top to bottom+left to right: "cringe" editorial, three little houses instead of three little pigs, floral lineart, gecko crawling on a fridge door, selfie, "5 styles in 1" figure, silicon valley fruit crate label, stickers surrounding a smiley-face balloon blowing up a skeleton's chest, and a wizard running late for his bus

Here's a colored version I made of this bouquet! Colored-in digitally, all new for me but I had fun with lots of spray paint tools lol I originally designed this for a school assignment. But now that I have the design I'm using it to customize a wedding present for my brother and new sister-in-law!

Bouquet of flowers: traditional pen line art then digitally colored. Flowers present are a Dahlia, a Morning Glory, Asters, Delphinium, and a Stargazer Lily. Lettering added in for bride and groom's names.

Final work for this Spring semester! prompt was an album cover design, mine is for De La Soul's 3ft High and Rising! Lots of fun creating sticker designs to collage around my floating skelly, tried to capture that fun floaty feeling in ur chest when laughter is bubbling up :)

Photo of final art board lifted up at an angle to show edges of collage curled up surrounding the drawn figure. Collaged stickers were drawn in crayon, then copied+printed to collage. Background is a feint blue version of stickers xerox-transferred behind the drawn figure. Skeleton drawn with colored pencils has an enlarged smiley-face balloon expanding the chest and lifting it up.
