On another note, trying to do the "smart thing" and level armorer and blacksmith at the same time, but I struggle to just make the right materials for each class so I can get the crafting log EXP. Should probably look up a proper guide... I just want to be able to craft Bastion gear on release.

My FFXIV checklist is done until Evercold, but now I've got almost a full month left of sub since I needed a little extra time to level Miner. 😭 - MSQ is up to date - Hildibrand is up to date - I maxed out Beastmaster - I maxed out Miner I'm not really sure what to do with the remaining time...

Just realised that I never finished my Healer class quests for Dawntrail, as I'm going through the class quests for Gatherer. WOOPS. I have a pretty good memory when it comes to at least "summarising" things I've seen, so that explains why I couldn't remember the ending to that questline...

Having serious TTRPG withdrawals because my THREE GROUPS have been struggling to put games together for an entire month. I only take the Mondays and Tuesdays off for specifically these groups, so when the games don't happen I can't exactly make last minute plans. TvT

As much as it pains me to say this about Beastmaster, considering I came back to #FFXIV almost purely to play it: #WoW did it better, and it's just a small part of a BASE CLASS. Hunter in WoW allows you to tame almost every version of a mob as long as it's tagged with "beast".

So, there's a new Hot Wheels game coming out and I didn't even know it existed until the week before it comes out... Aw, heck, am I gonna have to spend money on this? I'm not the biggest fan of racing games or cars in general, but I loved Hot Wheels Unleashed and the toys as a kid.

Going through the Hildibrand questline has been nothing but laughs, and it helps me remember some of the locales I went though during my 5 month journey through MSQ from start to finish (+ a lot of raids I liked). 😂 #FFXIV

I think my favourite part about Neon Odyssey so far is how *clean* the setting is. They knew what they were going for, and they made it all work with that Space Opera genre and EVERY TYPE OF NOSTALGIA OUT THERE

I like how Xenotrainer Primalist in the Neon Odyssey expansion is obviously meant to be Pokemon-themed, but mechanically, it honestly works amazingly for a Spectrobes-style character. You could straight-up make a human Xenotrainer, give him a laser sword, and then make Rallen. :P

I forgot that it's 7.56 that Beastmaster comes out, woops :'3 It's fine, my plans to level Miner still hasn't changed, and I've also been convinced to start the Hildibrand questline. This is also my first Rising event, and as a newcomer to the game, it really made me feel more welcome. #FFXIV

September is right around the corner, which means I can finally get back to FFXIV... I played the game for like 5-6 months straight to get through the entirety of the MSQ (plus a few raids I liked), so I needed a break until the 7.5 epilogue and Beastmaster.

Silvery Barbs has always and will always be one of my least favourite spells in 5e because I have to expect it every time an NPC succeeds at a roll against the PCs; it's even more disruptive than Counterspell, IMO. Needless to say, I no longer allow it at my table. :'3

I just invited a duo from the official DND Discord to do a Tyranny of Dragons game with me and some friends. The duo seemed perfectly fine, we had no issues, but the second we went to Roll20 for character creation, they just left and blocked me. Huh??? I'M SO CONFUSED.

Rewatching Treasure Planet makes me realise that it's the closest animated thing we've got to Spelljammer. It really gives that perfect low-tech, smaller scale sci-fi/magic vibe; planets being days and hours apart by boat, suns and supernovas being the size of tsunamis, it's great inspiration.

I ended up getting Palworld after watching them slowly move on from their edgy "lol Pokemon fans mad" phase and went on to make an actually good game. I took back most of what I said about the game originally, but I mostly bought it because every developer I care about have supported them too. x-x

I love how the Riders in ZERO-ONE are based on animals and the Magia are based off extinct animals. They missed an amazing opportunity to make the Raiders based off endangered animals though, since it includes a whale and a panda. :P

I was trying to remember what got me to finally try FFXIV again, and I realised that it was literally just the Arcadion. I saw the trailer for its third part and was like "man, if this is what FFXIV is doing currently, I wonder what else I'm missing out on". Really glad it got me back into it. 😆

I've been wanting to use the Rise of the Runelords module I bought for Roll20, but there's a couple of issues: 1. Roll20 doesn't have the classes for the characters. 2. Pathcompanion is slow and sometimes doesn't work. My best choice is to just do do the character sheets and dice rolls by hand.

I'm doing one of my usual "make a team for a Pathfinder AP I own", and reminding myself of why I really dislike PF1e; if you're not minmaxing by multiclassing into like 2 or 3 different thematically unrelated class archetypes, you're playing very suboptimally.

There's literally only one thing I would change about TADC, and that's how the Abstracted look. I feel like basing the appearances around their individual traumas and reasons for abstraction would make them a lot more compelling as a "corpse monster" than just "eye horse".

Brennan can do what he wants at his table, and if a player managed to convince an NPC just by saying and doing the right thing, good for him for not calling a persuasion or intimidation roll. However, there are PLENTY of issues with this kind of ruling that should be discussed during session 0.
