I don’t have any comparison except yoga, which is typically around $18, less with monthly membership if you go at least 2x/week. So yeah, that sounds kinda outrageous!

New sign to point at daily—> We do not need A.I. to tell us how to solve climate change. We already know how. Electrify everything and phase out fossil fuels to zero by 2050. It is suicide to justify even one new gas turbine sale in the year 2026 because “A.I. will help solve climate change.”

Yin yoga is meditative without being meditation and for me has been a useful path towards better somatic awareness and regulation that carries over into the everyday. In the US, studios will advertise “trauma informed” classes; I imagine it’s similar over there.

In the coming years, don't let companies who aided ICE w/ technology tell you they didn't know what was happening. They can say that what their customers do with the tech isn't their concern, but ultimately a lot of very big companies helped to funnel people into a system designed to cause suffering

More Wendell Berry
A Warning To My Readers
Do not think me gentle
because I speak in praise
of gentleness, or elegant
because I honor the grace
that keeps this world. I am
a man crude as any,
gross of speech, intolerant,
stubborn, angry, full
of fits and furies. That I
may have spoken well
at times, is not natural.
A wonder is what it is.

RIP Wendell Berry From “Economy and Pleasure” in _What Are People For_
The question that we finally come to is a practical one, though it is not one that is entirely answerable by empirical methods: Can a university, or a nation, afford this exclusive rule of competi-tion, this purely economic economy? The great fault of this approach to things is that it is so drastically reductive; it does not permit us to live and work as human beings, as the best of our inheritance defines us. Rats and roaches live by competition under the law of supply and demand; it is the privilege of human beings to live under the laws of justice and mercy. It is impossible not to notice how little the proponents of the ideal of competition have to say about honesty, which is the fundamental economic virtue, and how very little they have to say about community, compassion, and mutual help.
