In this month’s livestream I painted a magical mossy moon with gouache and coloured pencil. 🌙💙 The replay is available on my Patreon: patreon.com/lindenshieldarts #TraditionalArt #FantasyArt

A photo of part of an open, black paper sketchbook, placed on a wooden desk and surrounded by paint brushes, coloured pencils, crystals, and leaves. The sketchbook page features a mixed media painting of a sickle moon fully covered in blue moss and other small plants. In the crook of the moon grow strange tentacle-like organisms, emitting a soft blue glow. At the bottom, on the curve of the moon, three tine yellow stars are hanging off delicate chains.

Always kind of thinking about Marisa Tomei's 3/4 length sleeve (?), mock neck (?), lightly shoulder-padded (?), floral catsuit from MY COUSIN VINNY so I sketched it.

110

dirty diana @sweeter.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

the heroine doesn't have her 18th birthday till midway through the book so i want to underline age gap, lol, but tell me if you check it out! the job bits are quite fun

100

dirty diana @sweeter.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

the book was overture by skye warren which i quite enjoyed in between being pleasantly scandalised, but i don't think i have any age gap mutuals to recommend it to

110

dirty diana @sweeter.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

star violinist, or scary american security firm guy. i would not actually be good at either of these, i do like the violin though.

You are now forced to have the same job as the main character in the last book you read. What is the job?

reddit went and made itself unusable without an account, rip me having any idea what sports fandom is talking about

131

dirty diana @sweeter.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

i guess but once you're talking about slurs, and in a reasonably self-moderating environment like fandom, it does not particularly seem like a hill worth dying on to me

000

dirty diana @sweeter.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

i do take the general point that putting slashes in slurs is not *that* helpful in disguising them. never heard the complaint about spelling it all out though

the other one i've read is legends and lattes which tbf is kinda boring and is also not a romantasy

010

dirty diana @sweeter.bsky.social · 21/07/2026

i apparently rated the knight and the moth 3.5 on storygraph so i'm not its number one defender or anything, but it is definitely not as boring as the ethical romantasy list makes it sound. a good read if you like knights and magic and creepy gothic monasteries

130

dirty diana @sweeter.bsky.social · 21/07/2026

shadow daddies is a kylo ren type romance lead, hot but does bad things and possibly to the female lead, nd so women must be scolded out of enjoying such content. i think that's definitely what they're subtweeting here. let people enjoy things, jeez!

131

dirty diana @sweeter.bsky.social · 21/07/2026

lol, this is just a "no shadow daddies" list anyway. i don't know why people are still pearl- clutching and acting like that's so hard to find
