The Witcher 3 remaster is amazing. It’s so gorgeous and when it works it’s a pleasure to play. The ps5 pro version having significant issues has been very frustrating. FWIW, the main issues I’ve experienced in the remaster on PS5 Pro have been principally in Toussaint region & the Blood & Wine DLC

Jennifer Hedger being a Brad Bradford supporter is absolutely not shocking at all especially once you know that her husband ran for office before on a similar platform as Bradford that was just mind numbing “the city is falling apart” fantasies that were a cover for right wing fiscal policies. 🚮

Looking forward to jd Vance trying and failing to make an American catholic reformation happen because he has no charm, no skill, and no grace. All he has is a bigoted snobbery

That poor fucking kid. So much therapy for th kid will be needed especially when Dunham inevitably raids the kids’ life for a new property that will invariably be about and become about her and the challenges of being a mother

It is such complete bullshit that the Nintendo of America (which includes Canada under its geographic feogrsphix corporate umbrella) sale right now is for the US only especially since the “reason” for the sale is tariff compensation. Canada gets the price increases but not the mitigating sale…

Given the (unsurprising but still enormously disappointing) court decision, one of the main roles the mayor of Toronto needs to have from the upcoming election until 2029 is to make Doug ford’s life hell, fight every decision and make the case LOUDLY for municipal autonomy

Honestly, for places that allow right turns reds, I think that situation is more fraught, tense and anxiety inducing. Drivers not line up, do lot wait their turn, will do everything they can to squeeze through for their turns to save a few seconds and constantly encroach on any space a cyclist takes

The binary is what keeps people on both sides home. This time the binary has to convince republicans to stay home. But pretending like the binary isn’t the locus of the American electoral problem is naive as well.

My steam deck summer continues and each day I’m convinced that the money I dropped on this handheld even though it’s 3 years old now, is some of the best money I’ve spent. Handheld gaming is a joy. I love couch console gaming and the steam deck has been a vital addition to my gaming life

Doesn’t this prove the point though? Ottawa is a place where you can’t tell people you’re about to have fun in case that fun either bothers them or worse still, interests them enough to participate and ends up creating community, obligations and small talk.

Mina the Hollower is one of the most rewarding games I’ve played. It has frustrated the hell out of me at times but it rarely feels unfair, frustration is more at my own tilt. A good chunk of my time so far has been spent figuring out each board and what mechanics to use to clear it which rules

Final fantasy XIII and XIII-2 are great games. Yes they are flawed, yes they are messy but cmon now, these are Nomura games. They are as messy and flawed as all his games are! FF13 is important for the overall understanding of Nomura. The through lines from FFX to Kingdom hearts are CLEAR

I finally finished ff13 after starting it in 2023 and realizing I really can’t stand playing games on screen at a desk in a in a chair. I grew up in the couch gamer era and when handhelds were tiger electronics and then gameboys during formative years.

I bought the ff13 trilogy a few years ago on steam cause I’ve always wanted to play it. I played for a bit and then quit mostly because I hate sittingningront of a computer to play games. I recently got a steam deck and have started the game again and man, I’m really loving it

Yes because famously CS reps despite their title never talk to the public, never provide incorrect information and are never a lens into either deliberate misinformation or poor training. Nothing of value can be gained by knowing how internal public facing employees respond to queries.

Bill Maher getting the mark Twain award is a clear everyone loses scenario. He doesn’t deserve it, he’s not funny or smart or witty. His capacity for satire couldn’t hit mediocre in his best day. He’s just a reactionary bigot playing the same songs to the same audience ad nauseam
