Random metal theory: Metallica's Until it Sleeps is a perspective flip of Sad, but True. The singer of Until it Sleeps is confiding in someone else about the entity taunting them in Sad, but True.

My trip through DC's Absolute line continues and I was utterly blown away by how great Absolute Martian Manhunter is. Legitimately one of the best comics I've ever read. Javier Rodriguez's art is majestic and Deniz Camp possesses a lyrical aspect to his prose seldom seen outside the all-time greats.

I'm not exactly complaining, but it's weird how I keep getting sent keys for new games even though my channel is 90% retro games and 10% new stuff that directly relates to retro stuff. Say, for instance, a key for Blades of Fire since it's MercurySteam returning to their Blade of Darkness roots.

I can't help but feel like the new Daemon x Machina would have a substantially better first impression if that opening bit before you crash land on the planet was just a cutscene. It interrupts gameplay enough that you can't enjoy the "taste of power" moment anyways.

Had a night to sleep on it and TripleMania convinced me that Corey Graves is the worst mainstream wrestling commentator since Mark Madden. He sucks at calling the action, he sucks at explaining the stories and he consistently cut Konnan off every time he tried to pick up Corey's slack.

SwannyTheMike @swannythemike.bsky.social · 17/08/2025

Squaresoft games on the SNES had such amazing bass lines. I don’t understand why they stopped! And the worst part is modern remakes that deemphasize the baseline like nearly every version of Battle on the Big Bridge. Bring back bass guitars, Square Enix!!
