We made the hard decision today to put our sweet baby Loretta to rest. She gave me 17 amazing years I wouldn't trade for anything. My first pet when I moved out on my own, she got me through my mother's passing, a divorce, and everything else along the way. I'll always love you, baby bear.

First photo I took of loretta when I brought her home from the rescue shelter. She's a blue nose pit. Here she's at her skinniest. She was rescued on the side of a highway having clearly recently given birth to a litter of puppies.

The last photo I took of her. She's laying on our kitchen floor looking away from me.

For many years she would sit on her but like a person next to us on the couch. Here she is on our couch sitting next to stephanie watching TV together.

She was our summer girl. She loved the sun and warm air so much. She'd sit outside on her bed for hours sniffing the air. We'd have to force her to come inside sometimes.

Our sweet little Loretta may be considered geriatric at 17 years old, but she was super brave today and did a great job in surgery to have an infected growth removed from her belly. Everyone tell her what a beautiful perfect angel she is.

I've said more than once that one of the things I hate most about Trump is that he's made people forget what an absolute piece of sh*t George W Bush was as president. It's inexcusable that he's remembered with rose colored glasses. He was a crisis for this country before our current one outdid him.
