Part 8 - Finale. And so my whole point here is that this thing that we choose to do (writing) or that chose us is hard, hard on the soul, the heart, and the mind. Hollywood is falling apart, becoming something else. The indies are rising up again, which is great. I don’t know where I fit.

Part 4. I failed because I didn’t have what they wanted. I spent the next 3 years continuing along, sold a feature to an indie producer/director, which was great. Then things dried up completely. And I realized something.

Part 3. The prodco had switched from light thrillers to Hallmark style projects. They said to keep in touch. I accepted this but inside I was truly gutted. I thought, finally, I got my turn at bat. And I failed.

#scriptsky Got my rejection for Eat At Joe’s (body horror thriller) from AFF. Second idea of mine they’ve hated. They didn’t like my creature feature comedy, I said okay maybe it’s not for everyone. I give them a thriller, they still hate me. Okay. I guess my ideas suck! Or my writing.

#scriptsky So, last night I watched MICHAEL … and it was beautifully shot, acting was fine (Jaffar Jackson did a good job as his uncle), but the story…uhm…lots of missing stuff, including youngest sibling Janet. In my writing, I’m in the development stage of a few hard horror projects.
