That, to me, is the biggest failing of parts of the left (both sides really). I won't tarnish everyone with the same brush though. I generally like it when politicians cross the floor on issues, or when parties really come together for the common good. Happens less & less these days.

Assuming the company you're applying for is called Motive - then this looks to me like a place where you can show them you've done your research about them. Have they won any 'best places to work' awards? Mention it here. Does the company have a mission that appeals? Meantion that here. etc.

From a more positive perspective: 1) The decentralised nature of bluesky, even though most are defaulting to the default 'server' 2) A ton of people are reporting significantly increased reach. eg. smaller follower numbers here getting same engagement as their old accts 10x 20x the size

Other reasons I've seen from others: 1) A rejection of Musk personally 2) Not wanting the X ai to be trained on their data (although threads has picked up some of that) 3) The new legal terms with disputes relocated to Texas
