Having a fun time being a juror for the @seattleindies.bsky.social SIX event in Sept. As someone who's been a longtime attendee and one-time exhibitor, it's nice to give back to the community. Trying my best to judge as many games as I can before returning to work (maternity leave ends soon)😮

Started playing Wildermyth with a friend last night. It definitely scratches that Baldur’s Gate itch without needing a ton of brain cells. Art is cute. Dialogue is short, sweet, and to the point. Plus I have a new meme from our game to use.

I don’t know if it’s because my daughter likes hearing Buddhist chants from my Taiwanese mother-in-law, but this song *always* gets L to stop crying. If you have a baby, try playing this and let me know 🤘 youtu.be/Ozbbw39vE-w?...

No shade to the OP for admitting this, but it shocks me that people my age don’t know this. You fundamentally cannot understand how the world functions, how power works, if you don’t know history.

since I only go on here once every few months: - had baby - baby is cute - baby is 4 months old now! - baby will *not* be featured on social media - for some reason I just watched a ton of Balan Wonderworld cutscenes and now I know why everyone was confused at this game 5 years ago 🤪

Reminder that Pixel Sprout Studio's [Sun Haven] still NEVER has credited any of the devs on this game, including my spouse. Spread the word! There's even more issues involved with this company like unfair pay(despite the game making MILLIONS of dollars), censorship, etc. youtu.be/bKcrEMAEUBc?...

The Suikoden 1 + 2 Remaster comes out next week. My friend Fahmi, who passed away a few years ago, was obsessed with it. Our friendship -was- because of those games. It was our #1 favorite series. He was a fellow game dev (designer + writer for Coffee Talk) and I wish I could celebrate with him.
