The periosteum, a thin connective tissue covering the surface of bone, is densely populated with nerve fibers. Recent work published in @jorthopres.bsky.social by @svarghese.bsky.social et al. highlights how periosteal injury prolongs pain after bone fracture. Link: buff.ly/hJ45FRs #ORSSMC
