2/2 After going to the DMV, where I registered to vote, I received a letter from Kris Kobach stating that I was not registered (a violation of the Motor Voter Law), as I didn't give the DMV proof of citizenship when I applied for a new license. The outcome of this law is to reduce registrations.

1/2 There is a big difference between being required to show ID to vote and being required to prove citizenship to register to vote. I found out 11 years ago when I moved back to Kansas and registered to vote when I when to get my driver's license.

I've purchased two new vehicles in the past three weeks and have noticed that: 1) it is the role of the salesperson to tell you how great the car is, and 2) it is the role of the finance person to tell you how the car will fall apart, and you need an extended warranty.

Elimination of the FDIC is extremely unlikely. It is not a government agency and is not funded by tax dollars. While banks may want to eliminate the premiums they pay in, eliminating the insurance protection would result in a mass exodus of deposits to more secure pastures.
