@zachbuilds.bsky.social @suzgupta.bsky.social I am in very beginning and not so competent days and trying to limit my tool purchasing. I use Helm for work.

@zachbuilds.bsky.social what tool(s) are you using to create your screenshots? What’s your workflow? Thank you for sharing these tips!

Of course I can generate a PRD probably at any point. In the Mac app Code tab, one needs to paste that in. I am currently waiting as Code appears to explore my (tiny) existing code base to see what’s already implemented. It’s so complimentary about my app concept. I must really have a winner ;)

Susannah Skyer @suzgupta.bsky.social · 22/01/2026

My current questions, which I shall go research with Claude and report back :) 1. Can I generate and use a PRD even though I already have an MVP? 2. What’s the difference between the Code tab in the Mac app and using from Terminal? Feel free to weigh in!

OK, just made my first tiny app (no, not in the store and probably not enough functionality to get there) using Claude Code and Xcode. Not counting the time I spent watching a how-to video, maybe I spent five minutes start to finish. Where can I learn more about set up and how best to use this?

Way back, long before these robot days, it was its whole own exhausting profession. There used to be printed sets of documentation. Just carrying those around was tiring. 👵

Are you saying you don’t like Lamps Plus or that liking it is a tell in terms of one’s age?

Susannah Skyer @suzgupta.bsky.social · 12/07/2025

It definitely seems one of the big benefits of these tools is to help us be productive in unfamiliar or now rusty languages.

I mean, me too, as far as being behind the curve. Trying to figure out the best way to catch up!

“Standardize” was the wrong word, but it seems like Claude Code is something lots of us are starting to use and are excited about. I’ll try too after my next bout of travel (so, in about a month). I wonder what value I will find as a novice. Thank you for taking the time to respond at length.

My boss is finding this as well. He too is a very senior, experienced dev, in his case expert in macOS. These tools allow him to quickly do web dev.

I love mine for long walks and also at the gym if I am doing an Apple Fitness bike or strength workout or catching up on podcasts during cardio.

010

Susannah Skyer @suzgupta.bsky.social · 11/07/2025

Are you actively using either yourself?

100

Susannah Skyer @suzgupta.bsky.social · 10/07/2025

I found this a great, well written piece. So, are we at the point as a community where we’re standardizing on Claude Code as our AI tool of choice? #iosdev #vibecoding #claudecode #howdohashtagsworkhere

Susannah Skyer @suzgupta.bsky.social · 10/07/2025

So let's say, and this is not as hypothetical as I would like, you make a successful app and someone feeds that into an AI tool and creates and begins to market a clone. Would you respond in any way? If so, how? Feeling annoyed rather than flattered.

Just now starting to resurface... landed here after buying @helm-app.bsky.social this morning (have you tried it??) and noting I could follow them here or on another platform that @grantzero.bsky.social pointed out we need to stop using.

@gorban.bsky.social and I just download and bought @helm-app.bsky.social today and wow, I am really excited about it. Which is good because also wow, we need to spend more time marketing this great little app portfolio of ours ;)

Has someone put together a Starter Pack for the #iosdev community? I see @swifteves.bsky.social has one for game devs, but what about more broadly. New here, hi everyone :)
