A letter from Jewish Georgetown students, staff and faculty called for release of their colleague, Badar Khan Suri, noting how Trump was also putting them at risk:

President Trump is weaponizing Jewish identity, faith, and fears of antisemitism as a smokescreen for his authoritarian agenda, further damaging the campus climate for everyone. Making Jews the face of this autocratic initiative feeds antisemitic conspiracy theories and is dangerous for Jews, on campuses and beyond.

Gonna keep saying this: In the 1840s, Southerners insisted that they could kidnap any person they alleged was a slave without any state or federal process. This turned even minimal process into resistance and raised the salience of the issue, which radicalized a bunch of people against slavery.

“You don't need a permit to protest in response to breaking news and you don't need a permit to march in the streets or along sidewalks, as long as you're not obstructing traffic or access to buildings.
When you are lawfully present in any public space, you have the right to photograph anything in plain view, including federal buildings and the police. If you believe your rights have been violated, when you can, write down everything you remember, get contact information for witnesses, and take photographs of any injuries. If you get stopped by the police, ask if you're free to go. If they say yes, calmly walk away.If you get arrested, you have a right to ask why. Otherwise, say you wish to remain silent and ask for a lawyer immediately. Don't sign, say or agree to anything without a lawyer present. If you get stopped by a member of the military or any law enforcement office at a protest, you have the right to remain silent or to tell them that you’ll only answer questions in the presence of an attorney — no matter your citizenship or immigration status.”

Accusations of antisemitism are going to be the tip of the spear for much of the fascist takeover of the United States. Those who care about antisemitism must vociferously push back. They want us to be complicit so they have a justification for their actions as well as have a group to blame it on.

This image is a screenshot of a social media post from an account named "Donald J. Trump" (@realDonaldTrump). The post states that federal funding will be stopped for any college, school, or university that allows illegal protests. It further mentions that agitators will be imprisoned or deported, American students will be expelled or arrested, and that masks will not be allowed. The post has engagement metrics showing 1.61k "ReTruths" and 5.81k "Likes," and it is timestamped March 4, 2025, at 7:30 AM. Rufo laid it all out there. They essentially want to return to the days where Harvard and other elite schools were limited to wealthy white elites and everyone one else was locked out.
"A screenshot of a Twitter (X) thread by Christopher F. Rufo, posted on November 9, 2023, outlining his proposals on how to reform academia. The thread consists of multiple tweets, each listing different recommendations.

The first tweet suggests:

Reducing federal funding to universities

Privatizing the student loan market and making colleges partially responsible for student defaults

Abolishing DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) bureaucracies

Winding down activist pseudo-disciplines

Reforming faculty hiring to restore ideological balance

Subsequent tweets include additional points such as:

Breaking the accreditation system

Transforming some state universities into classical liberal arts academies

Creating recruitment pipelines for traditionally-minded scholars

Establishing new academic journals outside left-wing circles

Removing the master's in education requirement for K-12 teaching

Requiring state universities to sign the Kalven Statement, avoiding political positions as corporate entities

Enforcing civil discourse standards to prevent intimidation, vandalism, or heckler’s vetoes

Legalizing intelligence tests for admissions and hiring

Offering test-out options to demonstrate domain knowledge without earning a degree

Encouraging employers to screen based on capacity rather than degrees

Reducing four-year university placements to the top 10% of academically gifted students while shifting resources to trade programs, community colleges, and vocational training

Each tweet has varying levels of engagement, with likes, comments, and shares visible in the screenshot."
