🚨 Statement: Far right gangs target Portsmouth after Dover blockade
FAR RIGHT GANGS TARGET PORTSMOUTH AFTER DOVER BLOCKADE

Just a day after hundreds of fascists wearing balaclavas blockaded Dover port, Nazi Tommy Robinson right-hand-man “Danny Tommo” and his supporters have mobilised again in Portsmouth, blocking refugees who had just been rescued after crossing the Channel.

This is not an isolated protest. It is an organised and dangerous escalation by the far right. The far right now believe they can mobilise hundreds of people and physically block refugees from entering the country with impunity.

These thugs have been emboldened by years of racist “stop the boats” rhetoric from Farage and Reform, the media and mainstream politicians. As events unfolded in Portsmouth, Reform’s Robert Jenrick described the arrival of people seeking asylum as an “invasion” - language which gives legitimacy to those attempting to take matters into their own hands.

The refugees arriving in this country are not a threat. The threat is the growing far right - the racist thugs who intimidate vulnerable people and divide our communities and the politicians who embolden them.

Stand Up to Racism will continue to counter the far right wherever they mobilise. This Autumn, across the country, we are building antiracist protests to build unity and stop the far right from gaining ground.

Utter idiots blockading the ferry port in protest against irregular routes across the channel. It would be funny if it wasn't so disturbing. This isn't protest. It is intimidation. Cosplay militia dressed up specifically to create fear.
Disruption at Port of Dover as masked 'stop the boats' protesters block roads

Summary

There has been major disruption at the Port of Dover, the UK's biggest international ferry port, after masked "stop the boats" protesters block access

Traffic was initially stopped from going in and out of the port - it says access roads to the site are "now free flowing"

A government spokesperson says: "The right to peaceful protest is fundamental to our democracy, but we condemn the behaviour in Dover and the travel disruption it has caused"

Images from the scene appear to show hundreds of demonstrators, dressed in black and wearing face coverings

Protesters were chanting "stop the boats" and have been marched by police towards Dover railway station, our reporter in Dover writes

REFORM DEFEATED IN GREATER MANCHESTER MAYORAL ELECTION
REFORM DEFEATED IN GREATER MANCHESTER MAYORAL ELECTIONReform UK have lost again. They were soundly beaten in the Greater Manchester mayoral election.
We are proud of the role Greater Manchester Stand Up to Racism played in making this happen. Over four weeks local activists have given out over 30,000 leaflets and had hundreds of conversations. This is another serious setback for Reform UK following their defeat in the Makerfield by-election and the financial sleaze crisis that has engulfed Nigel Farage and other leading figures in the party.
They claim to speak for ordinary people, but really they are in the pockets of the rich and use racism to divide us. During our campaign we found that thousands of working class people agree with this message. But this election shows the far right threat remains huge. Restore Britain, who are associated with fascists and Nazis, saw their vote rise. The combined tar right vote is a threat to us all.
The far right can be beaten, but we urgently need a bigger antiracist movement and no more pandering to far right politics by the government.
Together, we can stop the far right.

Statement: Deepest condolences to the family of Henry Nowak. Don’t let the far right divide us.
We send our deepest condolences to the family of Henry Nowak. No family should have to experience the loss of a son. The bodycam footage and the failures of the police are shocking and tragic.

But we are alarmed that known fascists and far right activists are trying to seize on this horrific killing and weaponise it to spread their message of hate. In Southampton, neo Nazi sect
White Vanguard called a protest purporting to be remembering Henry Nowak. Britain's leading fascist Tommy Robinson has said he will be attending future protests and Elon Musk is using X to spread misinformation.

Nigel Farage has called for "pure cold rage" in response.

Farage is cynically using a tragic death to fuel his divisive agenda and win votes.

None of these far right figures offer anything to the family of Henry Nowak, nor are they interested in justice. They are using a tragic murder for their own ends - to divide our communities and to spread their racism, hate and far right ideas.

Don't let the far right divide us.
