The best part about not knowing what the FUCK I'm doing with my music stuff is that I keep messing around with my DAW and end up finding a synth that's just like a golden loot drop to my ears

Latest music is finally out!!! I've been sitting on these tracks for a while but I finally got around to putting them into an album. It's not super impressive or nothing but hey no AI bullshit and it will remind you of the GOOD seasons of Stranger Things. sushinebula.bandcamp.com/album/the-ha...

Breaking News: kind and supportive person receives praise for their kindess and support

I fuckin' LOVE Starfinder, it's an awesome world, it has so much fun stuff to do/use but at the same time every class has so much stuff and each bit of stuff is like two paragraphs of stuff and my brain just can't comprehend all this stuff is for ONE CLASS THIS ISN'T EVEN A COMBAT CLASS AAAAAAAAAAHH

000

Some other TTRPGs I'll mention: Kids on Bikes, good if you cried over how bad Stranger Things 5 was and want your own stephen king core story Outgunned, I kinda struggle to summarize it but I'll just say "John wick simulator" and hope that does the job Starfinder, don't play it. great game but don't

100

Seriously though it is NOT that hard. Eat the Reich is a 72 page book (which is like, NOTHING compared to most rpgs), has presets, a super easy dice system, great for trying out with newbies themselves, it's also $15 which is pretty affordable. Plus it's not D&D 5e and has amazing book art.

100

I kept getting a lot of short videos lately about TTRPGs and there was this one where this guy was talking about like DM shortages and stuff speaking as a forever DM of 5 years, y'all should really just try to DM. Benefits include using all those PCs you made as NPCs in your game.

Sushi @sushinebula.bsky.social · 05/04/2026

It was bad but only half because "it's been hyped up too long, it'll never be a masterpiece!" no, it was just bad. just straight up not good. Buggy, poorly written, crap pacing, just... ugh. Wasted my time on it but at least I have closure.

Meanwhile with the Wintermute side of things, it's such an alternative and disjointed experience that has gone on for so long it feels like it's changed priorities too much over the years. They kept adding things and now they have to justify all of it and I'm as excited as I am pessimistic about it.

Sushi @sushinebula.bsky.social · 25/03/2026

I really hate bitching about creative types and all that, but The Long Dark is amazing because of it's LACK of a story. Your journey is so isolated and personal, it's not that there's nothing going on it's just always in the background and it never DEMANDS your attention.

Sushi @sushinebula.bsky.social · 25/03/2026

As much as I'm excited for The Long Dark's story mode to finally be finished I just gotta say, part of me thinks it's a HL3 situation where no matter what the hell happens in the story I'm gonna be disappointed because it's been worked on for like 10 years and there's too much shit to do

Sushi @sushinebula.bsky.social · 16/03/2026

I hate to ask for money at a time like this when everyone's fucking struggling and shit but I also hate to not do fucking ANYTHING about it, so if you guys could share the link or spare a dollar, I would really appreciate it. gofund.me/6de5c0d94

I bitch about not having money a lot but this time is pretty serious, my family's little dog Princess went in for a basic surgery to get her fixed to prevent health problems later in her life but the vet botched the surgery and we had to take her in for an emergency visit another town over.

Update: we have one timeslot to work with but it's at like 10 am for half the group and 7 am for the other so it might be time to take this one out back because idk if my ass can wake up at 10 in the morning for a WoD game

000

Sushi @sushinebula.bsky.social · 04/03/2026

currently dealing with a scheduling issue on my main WoD game that's been going on for years and it's just that scene from stranger things 5 "IF THE PLAYERS AND I CAN'T SORT THIS OUT YOU'RE GONNA DIE AND I CAN'T DEAL WITH IT AGAIN, NOT YOU, PLEASE" like this isn't a bit my ass is grieving rn

This year sucks so far but I think a nice ray of sunshine is how Steam keeps pulling the weirdest sales out of their ass like Typing fest and now this Horse fest like can this be their thing for the year? Can we get Cafe fest or War Criminal fest this year? I would spend truck loads on the latter.

I have come to the conclusion I am Very Bad at DBD now

000

So about that not turning to the dark side thing... I spent like fifty bucks getting a bunch of outfits-

must not return to the dark side must stay on my sobriety streak must not return to the dark side

Also hi its me again, im gonna try to set up thar twitch streaming notification thing on one of my accounts on here, that will propel me to stardom im sure

Sushi @sushinebula.bsky.social · 21/01/2026

I'm not judging or complaining really but I'm running a Kids On Bikes game soon (stranger things: the ttrpg) and the two player characters are Max Mayfield but her older brother isn't a POS and Wesley from this micahdaileywhite videos Tbf the npcs are based off of stranger things too so

Happy holidays and a happy new year! I'm personally sulking because my cool uncle didn't show up to the party but I did eat a lot of pork fried rice so really it went pretty good!

Sushi @sushinebula.bsky.social · 12/12/2025

That being said I'm still not buying it no matter who they send, they got all the money they need and it's like fifty dollars I could buy like five calzones from marco's for that much money I'm not buying a fuckin fifty dollar, 30 to 60 hour game unless someone puts a gun to my head

I REALLY do not like how oversaturated the fantasy genre setting is and I don't love seeing a game I personally don't care for getting awards over the ones I do, but E33 wasn't trying to step over other indie games at the game awards, they were just getting the recognition they probably deserve.

Sushi @sushinebula.bsky.social · 12/12/2025

I had originally made a post on here that was like, really angry that Expedition 33 won a shitton of awards and has been generally getting critical acclaim but after hearing a few friends of mine actually really enjoyed it I decided to take that down because the game probably doesn't deserve it?

One of my favorite ragebait tactics is to call the band Rise Against "discount Rage Against The Machine" It's not even remotely true but they share one word and have a similar first word so my boyfriend gets really pissed off because it's like, bordering on me just being fucking stupid lmao

I got a new reaction image from watching Chronicle (2012) and I've already used the fuck out of it

Sushi @sushinebula.bsky.social · 15/11/2025

I'm not making this shit up, here's the AI disclosure for Tribes 3, and here's the one for the new CoD. One of them was written by someone who was on a project QA team. The other one was literally word for word the same as the previous title. Activision has ivory blimp money, they can afford better.

Sushi @sushinebula.bsky.social · 15/11/2025

Not trying to defend genAI but seeing AA studios be like "uhhhh okay we used it for concept art but that's it, we have actual artists, it was their call" is kind of reassuring compared to companies like activision saying "we used ai to make some assets" like... can you tell us? are you ABLE to?

I have a bandcamp now! Currently there's only one track but I plan to upload my other one soon. You can listen to the track and buy it here: sushinebula.bandcamp.com/track/angels... Yes, I am going to get proper track art in the future. I'm too broke right now to buy any and I refuse to use AI lol

I keep watching Zack D Films shorts are they're so great because one will be like "a mcflurry spoon is actually spun like a drill before being served to you with the spoon detached" and then 3 videos later it's "they committed atrocities so unspeakable they invented five words"

Sushi @sushinebula.bsky.social · 02/11/2025

Also while I'm here can someone tell me if VtM bloodlines 2 is good, I know it's not like a proper sequel to the original bloodlines but someone said it was like dishonored gameplay in the VtM universe and I would not be unhappy with that

Sushi @sushinebula.bsky.social · 02/11/2025

Finally ACTUALLY working on a song again, in terms of progress I got to the 29th... whatever these things are called. I should probably figure out more about music before making music. Eh. Those chord bits are "choir ahs" btw, so this is going to be a very interesting/silly song
