Needle felted cat on cotton! My inspiration for this design was a paper collaged cat I’d seen and tucked away in my “felting ideas” file. It was fun translating the concept of collage to a wool painting. #needlefelting #paintingwithwool #cats #art #artist

Wet felted wool coasters with a touch of silk. I created a large rectangle design first, then cut it into smaller pieces and felted those some more. The finished coasters are 4.5” squares. The amazing transformation from fluff to felt never gets old! #wetfelting #woolfelting #wool #art #artist

It’s been a while since I painted a piece of furniture, and I really enjoyed this project. This 1930’s dresser belonged to my grandparents. After close to 100 years of use (whoa!), the veneer was in pretty rough shape. This refresh gives it a whole new life! #upcycling #furniturepainting

Yesterday’s garden piece. The base comes from a whole Jacob sheep’s fleece that my cousin gave me. Though I plan to wash & card at least some of the fibres, I tried using some in their raw form & washing them while wet felting. Coarse and rustic, but it worked. And no more barnyard smell! #felting

A needle felted and wet felted sculpture of a woodland fairy house: The base looks like a tree trunk surrounded by mossy rocks and amanita muscaria mushrooms. The roof is green, tall, and pointed, with a long curly bit on top. The roof comes off and there’s a little space inside the trunk to keep tiny treasures.
