Same to you with your sweet baby. I feel like everyone is suffering a loss rn and it’s not fair. It’s nice to not be alone but it’s also horrible to not be alone. I hope our kitties are playing together right now <3

Head in the Clouds 🐅 @sursiq.bsky.social 📸 me

With a head in the clouds one sees from above, I’m sure all that perspective brings peace like a dove.
To wander, wonder is to keep the eyes wide, but up in the clouds there’s no place to hide.
Sure you have vantage, loft, laissez-faire, that is till you feel it, hackles raised in your hair.
When you float in the clouds you’re happy and free, but to the people down below you’re all they can see.
Balanced on their pedestal you waver and sway, but for some odd reason you can’t step away.
Escaping their gaze you make for a cloud, in hopes that its darkness might be your shroud.
But in rainclouds sure, you’re free from others gaze, that dark stormy cloud keeps you trapped in a haze.
No more do you float, explore, and elate, this clouds now a labyrinth, you’re tumbled and shake.
But all storms do pass, and the crowds will disperse, I promise you friend, you’ll be off no worse.
With your head in the clouds there’s so much to see, maybe it’s selfish to want you down here.

With me.

Tigers on Both Sides (feat. MEEMOW) 🐅 @sursiq.bsky.social 📸 Me

A creature in a yellow T-shirt with tigers on it (MEEMOW) crouched in an alleyway, looking at their reflection in a still puddle. The creature who stares is not always the creature that stares back, but they are one and the same.

the sheer difference of how I’m approached as male “passing” versus before when I wasn’t trans is very clear to me. And it’s even worse when I’m discovered to not be “fully male” and actually trans! And not quite fully a guy!!! Wauw!! But this is why I surround myself with a bunch of queer weirdos

In the end, it feels like a big step in a positive direction to be able to pay people for their work if we can manage that. Starting small and working up. Like maybe paying talent first (DJs, artists for hire, etc) and working up? Tho i know some resentment w that can easily grow

151

MEE[MO]W @sursiq.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

It’s hard!! Bc in the end,,, they (being furry cons) don’t make a lot of “spare” money to go towards employees afaik (from the small con staffing experience I have and the experience I have working for a smaller event)

161

MEE[MO]W @sursiq.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

I completely agree with everything. It’s entirely possible to pay people in a nonprofit. Furry cons compared to most other conventions are on the low end. (Tho I know a lot of other conventions are for profit so I spose it’s not entirely fair to compare).

another commission for @sursiq.bsky.social! I loved rendering the sky on this one ☁️🔥✨ pwyw comms: ko-fi.com/c/0d1ca3e626

Digital art of a Flareon character sitting in a field of tall, swaying grass, a few of the blades having scorched tips. They are holding a soot-covered paw to their chest and looking solemnly up at a bright north star in the twilight. Fluffy clouds in sunset colors border the sky, a hint of smoke in the upper corner, and drifting in the wind above them are a handful of glimmering embers.

The character has a fluffy fur coat with glowing spots, striped brindle markings, and is wearing a satchel and a large leaf-like hat.

Good news: normal thyroid and kidneys! Potentially bad news: Mr Juniper has “slightly elevated proBNP” which could be a sign of heart disease or high blood pressure Gonna go in for more tests to either catch what’s goin on early or find nothing (hopefully)

Tux cat (Juniper) being pet on the head. His eyes are closed and he is very cute btw
