Today is a great day. I coach our local Roller Derby team, and we're returning to the track locally for the first time in almost 6 years. Super excited, hoping we come out with the W, but it'll be a fun time regardless.

I think my plan is to go take my 0-2, and after EVO try a completely new character from scratch, if that fails, it's time to move on possibly. That or 10 minutes on the treadmill every-time I get angry playing. I'll either get healthy or die of exhaustion trying.

I think this is definitely what pulled me into SFV Ed. In general though, it feels like a simple toolbox in 6, is a fair ways more complex then in V, just based on system mechanics alone.

I hear folks talk about how easy it is to hit master in SF6 really makes me feel like I missed some core/basic element in my fighting game education path. Picking up a new character feels absolutely foreign and it takes me weeks to learn a couple combos and how to use some normals. Learning is hard

With that said, there's something so damn good about offline events. The people are incredible, for all the toxicity that exists online, when people come together, it's amazing. The FGC is truly one of a kind and I'm lucky to be able to consider myself a part of it.

I do need to work on myself a bit before EVO and future CBs! 1. My own physical health - Was burnt by the end, need to get healthier. 2. My play. Not only do I want to perform better, I don't want to feel like I'm wasting folks' time when asking them for sets.

On a competitor level, I had a blast, but was pretty disappointed in my performance overall but we move forward and aim to improve. I did however get a chance to play more casuals then I have in any previous year which was great

As much as Im not as invested in FGC stuff anymore, Ive gotta say it was really great seeing so many people at Combo Breaker who felt comfortable being themselves and just dressing however the fuck they wanted. Strong communities make the most vulnerable groups feel safe.

Will yap about it more later, but CB2025 has kicked ass. My own performances less-so. SFV 1(dq)-2 Mystery 2-2 SF6 1-2 Fighting games are great, I just wish I was so much better. Lots of work to do!
