Date night at Caruso's Grocery last night for DC restaurant week. The chicken parm was one of the tastiest meals ive had in a very long time 🥵

As everyone else said, thats an asbestos mineral, most likely chrysotile. You do not want to be handling that outside of its bag. The fibers are hazardous to breath.

Hyalophane (below) is a barium rich feldspar. I learned today it is a variety of microcline and not its own species. Also learned that labradorite isnt its own species either anymore and is a variery of anorthite. The IMA needs to calm down with changing all these feldspar taxonomies 🫩

For my S23 ultra, a separate app must be downloaded to minimize the post processing ai of the higher resolutions. There's no way to disable it from the camera app itself

Ya, its a newer feature. I sometimes use my phone camera for photos of rocks and minerals, but the auto adjustment / ai often adds colors and details that arent true to the specimen. So, i have to sacrifice resolution (go back to 12M) for the sake of the specimen looking 'correct'

*Sometimes* its not a choice. My phone camera has 12M, 50M, and 200M resolution options, and either of the choices above 12M automatically adjust the photo using built in AI, and you cant disable it. Its horrible.
