I asked Claude to draw some ASCII art of Yuna from Final Fantasy 10. Hands down the funniest thing I’ve ever seen from an LLM.
A horrific ASCII depiction of a one-legged four-armed stick figure that’s supposed to be Yuna from FFX

That’s actually my favorite correction published by the New York Times!

Can anybody explain why this UI element exists? I’m not a conspiracy-minded guy, but it really feels like every UI developer is deliberately trying to slow me down while pissing me off. I think I’m a competent programmer but not a UI expert. Feels like I’ve GOT to be missing something.
One of those shitty UI elements for entering a date where you have to scroll through everything.

Literally reading this during the intermission at 90’s Mixtape concert in Houston rn Never thought I’d feel nostalgic listening to Backstreet Boys…

Excerpt from the article saying:
“It's not hard to imagine why. The media has provided OpenAI with an aura of vast authority, with its executives publicly proclaiming that its tech is poised to profoundly change the world, restructuring the economy and perhaps one day achieving a superhuman "artificial general intelligence" — outsize claims that sound, on a certain level, not unlike many of the delusions we heard about while reporting this story.”

Over 20 years I've seen people I know post crazy stuff on Facebook, but it'll be this crap that finally gets me to pull the plug.

It’s the media’s fault Kennedy did it. The thing that kind of rattled me was the implication at the end that anyone would be mad at a kid. I’m trying to put myself in their position, and don’t see how that isn’t deliberate deflection.
When I spoke with Hildebrand, he said he didn’t know that the secretary had posted photos of his family, or that Kennedy had given out Daisy’s full name. He said that he hadn’t wanted “any of this on the internet from the get-go,” but he didn’t blame Kennedy. Instead, he directed his ire at reporters. “Most of y’all are fake media, and I don’t need my daughter’s name out there to be reported crap on,” he told me. “I just don’t need anybody talking negative about my daughter. She’s in the ground.”

This video caused some major stock shifts in the two companies and I just don’t get it. How can these results surprise any investor? The camera-only system failed under the exact conditions I’d expect. I thought every regulator on the planet classified Tesla’s automation as mid.

The 1994 edition of TSR’s Encyclopedia Magicka made the same mistake I make renaming variables in source code.

DUNGEON MASTER Guide
When this cube is activated it encloses an area 10 feet per side, resembling a cube of force. The temperature within this area is always 65° F. The field absorbs all cold-based attacks (cone of cold, ice storm, and even white dragon's breath). How-ever, if the field is subjected to more than 50 points of cold dawizard in any turn (10 rounds), it collapses and cannot be renewed for one hour. If it receives over 100 points of dawizard in one turn, the cube is destroyed
Cold below 0° F. effectively inflicts two points of cold dawizard on the cube for every -10°, so that the cube is at -2 points when the temperature of the attack is at -1° to -10° F., -4 points at -11° to -20°, etc. Thus, at -40° F. the device can withstand only 42 points of dawizard

I saw a thing on this and basically that EO isn’t how anything works. I’m more curious about the one that seems to require that we all put “female” on our passports and other federal documentation.
New executive order stating that “‘Female’ means a person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the large reproductive cell.”

So I just replicated this for fun and asked a follow-up. It’s like a self-fulfilling prophecy: it knows the answer to my question because so many people have had to explain why it doesn’t know the answer to theirs.

I wasn't sure what my first post should be here so I'll start with my first game of 2025: Indiana Jones and The Great Circle is WAAAAY better than I expected. Not sure how Bethesda pulled this off but <slow clap>
