lrp honestly whenever I see people complain VGen isn't solving their issues I have the same reaction its a tool, its meant to give your clients an interface to react with and fill out easily and make things more convenient for you as the artist

Anytime I see someone complaining how Vgen is too complicated, too hard to get Verified on, or that they're not getting clients, etc and I wish they understood its not a magical problem solver of a site. It's a specialized tool to streamline administrative tasks so you can focus more on art.

I knew this comm batch was a massive undertaking but its the most work I think I've ever taken in 1 month and the rate of finishing on this is a lot faster than I was before that being said I wish I could be just a little bit faster, I only just got all the linearts except ONE done ... oogh..

If you're like me and on iOS, and got locked out of 18+ servers, but you're classified as an adult, go into the discord web app and recheck the age restricted servers on iOS. Even if it's already checked, uncheck it and check it again. That should solve your issue. This whole thing is dumb as hell.

This is why I hate "just a tool" so so so much. You can make a calculator without access to every calculation. You can make photoshop without access to all photos. Someone show me a genai tool that didn't require all of our labour in its production. It's plagiarism software.

the last bit especially; most artists struggling financially are more likely to post public emergency comms, fundraisers, etc than cold-messaging clients (new or old) one by one always double check profiles anyway if it feels odd, never pay via F&F, ask for formal invoices, etc

good general internet safety reminder: double check the profile of whoever is messaging you! if the writing style feels off, if there's no DM history when there SHOULD be old messages, or if it feels like an "emergency", there's a good chance it's a scammer ✌
