Josh Sauter - Superspective Dev @superspective-dev.bsky.social · 08/08/2026Been a while since I shared an update here, but I've been re-imagining the Locus Minimus level in Superspective, and I'm really excited about the new direction! I think it will be a much better showcase of the shrinking mechanic. For now, all I have to share is a very work-in-progress screenshot: 020

Josh Sauter - Superspective Dev @superspective-dev.bsky.social · 05/09/2025Finally fixed a very annoying bug that has been plaguing me for months! Here's the story: Playtesters have been reporting that loading a save file sometimes leads to buggy behavior, like objects disappearing or trigger zones not activating. (1) 110
Josh Sauter - Superspective Dev @superspective-dev.bsky.social · 03/08/2025Working on some tooling to help visualize the world graph in Superspective, here's my progress! I have dynamically-sized level nodes, with Rect edge-to-edge directional (or bidirectional) arrows indicating the levels that should be loaded from each active scene. 130

Josh Sauter - Superspective Dev @superspective-dev.bsky.social · 18/07/2025Investigating a bug with portals in Superspective, stepping through the code in my debugger, and it leads me to a bit of code I wrote -- with this comment written above it. Welp. I guess that tracks lol 010
Josh Sauter - Superspective Dev @superspective-dev.bsky.social · 15/07/2025💡I think I finally fixed the "portal wiggling" bug that existed in Superspective, where players could rapidly cross over the portal threshold and back again to sneak onto the backsides of portals. This would often leave them either stuck behind the portal, or falling out of the world. No more! 020

Josh Sauter - Superspective Dev @superspective-dev.bsky.social · 10/06/2025Made some improvements to the glow around interactable objects. New version handles corners of objects much better and is a bit thicker and easier to see in general. This was something minor that's bothered me for a bit but never felt important enough to prioritize, I'm glad I finally did! 040
