Personally like I don't see how multiple buttons to hold + a strict parry as your only escape during the EMMI sections throughout all of Dread are cumulatively any less hard or jarring than SM being floatier all game with a run button and an admittedly weird wall jump you face and learn

while this is kinda taking the piss, to someone who hasn't played a video game and ONLY has the genre name, "third-person shooter" could reasonably describe all 3 of these they would sooner come to "well 1 is pixels and 1 is 3D" before any of the gameplay elements that actually differentiate them
