Trump wants to get rid of mail-in ballots so he can intimidate voters with federal troops stationed at the polling stations. Hard to scare people who can just quietly mail in their votes. Protect mail-in voting at all cost.

Smokey is a 9-year-old, 75-pound sweetheart who came to our Sanctuary after being rescued from an overcrowded shelter. While we don’t know much about his life before that, we do know he arrived at his previous shelter in rough shape — covered in fleas and with irritated skin. Thankfully, with some much-needed TLC, Smokey has started to heal, and his gentle spirit has begun to shine through.

Though his hearing seems to be fading, Smokey’s vision is still strong, and he’s adapting well. He does have an old ACL injury that our vet is currently managing with pain medication and aquatic therapy. So far, he’s responding well, though surgery may be needed in the future.

Through it all, Smokey remains a calm, sweet, and incredibly handsome boy. He takes everything in stride and is learning to enjoy the safety and care of his new surroundings.

If you’d like to meet this beautiful soul and give him the loving home he deserves, please visit our website to submit an application. Once approved, we’ll be happy to schedule a meet and greet!

Overlooked black & white pittie-Waiting for his Forever! (Baldwin, MD) Please click on pic for more information via alt text:

Meet Cesear! Cesear is an exuberant and energetic pup who is looking for a dog savvy adopter. He is very treat motivated and loves to engage in training games. He learns things very quickly and would do best in a home with structure and somebody willing to work with him on his manners. This guy has lots of energy to burn and would love to have a yard that he can run and play in, although not required, there are plenty of other outlets and ways to meet his energy needs such as long hikes, swims, and adventures! Cesear will for sure be worth it once he is out of the shelter and has a more structed lifestyle. As the shelter, Cesear has been around other dogs and has a rough/rowdy play style and may need some management when playing with other dogs but with the perfect match he could do well! Cesear has demonstrated some jumpy/mouthy behaviors but has been quite the quick learner in regards to what behaviors are and aren’t acceptable. He really is the best boy who just needs out of the shelter. The kennel life is taking a toll on Cesear quickly and we’d love to get him out asap. He is available for rescue, foster or adoption!

Name: Cesear

Age: 3 years old

Gender: Male

Weight: 62.7lbs

Color: black/white

Breed: Mixed breed

Health Concerns: none at this time

Behavior: kennel stress, high energy, may need additional training, intermittent jumpy/mouthy

Available for Adoption through BCAS: yes

Available for Foster through BCAS: yes

Steam and itch.io have removed thousands of video games in recent weeks deemed to be "adult content" in order to comply with strict rules from payment processors like Mastercard. These policies censor artists engaged in lawful speech. Mastercard shouldn't be the gatekeepers of our digital freedom.

Why did thousands of adult titles just disappear from the biggest PC gaming marketplaces?

Digital distribution platforms Steam and itch.io have tightened their rules about adult content – under pressure from payment processors. Why has this happened and where will it lead?
