Hello friends and welcome to another “how’s ESM vs CJS doing?!” A big win this time, at a year of `require(esm)` available! 38.0% of the popular npm packages now have ESM, up from 33.4% half a year ago. ESM-only is up from 12.6% to 16.0%. Particularly this non-dual, “vanilla” growth is very big!

they provide a function for pattern matching for filtering files, i.e. globbing src/* matches everything under src. the issue i had with those libraries was that they used too many dependencies so i tried to make something way smaller :^)

after about two years of the package existing, tinyglobby has surpassed both globby and fast-glob. it's been an insane journey that wouldn't have been possible without @e18e.dev and help from people like @benmccann.com or @43081j.com. i'm infinitely grateful for what e18e has done to the ecosystem 💙

The hidden gem is that @nodejs.org majors and LTS cycles got WAY easier to understand: 2026 -> v26 2027 -> v27 2028 -> v28 ... Aall of them go LTS for 18 months meaning each major is supported for 2 years. The new graphic tells the best story here: nodejs.org/en/blog/anno...

nodejs release schedule chat. Bars for each major showing 6mo unstable, 6mo current, then 18mo LTS for each major. The best interpretation is that each yearly release is stable and supported for 2 full years.
