Hello everyone! Quick post to promote a donathon I'm doing. My dog is having surgery to remove a cancerous tumor next Friday and I'll be streaming at midnight EST tonight until I can't stream anymore. every time donations hit an increment of $25 I have to spin a wheel of pain for me. info in pic.

I am doing a Donathon tonight at midnight EST. I'm raising money to help cover my dog's surgery bill. She has a cancerous tumor that is being removed next Friday.

I will be playing Lies of P and then some other games as my friends pop in and hang out. when donations hit an increment of $25 I will spin a wheel where I have a punishment I have to do live on stream. there is eat a spoon full of hot sauce (mild, hot, or oh god why), eat an extremely sour candy, or take a shot of alcohol.

The goal is to hit $500 but honestly anything helps and if we go over the goal, every extra dollar goes towards making her as comfortable as possible during her recovery. I do plan on making update videos on my discord showing how her recovery is going.

If you would like to watch you can go to twitch.tv/thorngobo

If you don't want to watch but want to donate you can at

Darn, I’m not sure then. I hope you’re able to figure this out! Rivals is so fun to stream.

superbearwars @superbearwars.bsky.social · 20/02/2025

To be clear, I’m able to use my Vtuber model and everything. Just had to remove other games from the scene.

superbearwars @superbearwars.bsky.social · 20/02/2025

If you haven’t tried this yet, isolate Marvel Rivals in its own scene in OBS and see if that helps. My issue was that I had too many other game sources in the scene, and Rivals is a bit of a diva.

Jerry Lawson invented the video game cartridge. He's the reason they stopped making pong consoles in the 1970s. If it weren't for him, the Atari 2600 and many others would literally NEVER exist at all.

Thank you, I get through it one day at a time. ☺️ I actually had my first “passing out in bed after stream” moment a couple days ago though; I streamed for almost 8 hours and just couldn’t move. LOL. It made me think of this post again.

superbearwars @superbearwars.bsky.social · 19/01/2024

God I sure do! For me it’s partially due to chronic fatigue though… usually I end stream due to the fatigue, then the fatigue makes me feel yucky. So it’s not depression *because of* ending stream, more like ending stream because of depression.

This makes sense! I guess when I imagine working on someone else’s passion project, I imagine myself having very little agency. Like if I worked at a company and had no control over what kind of project I was working on. But this perspective makes sense to me!

People working in gamedev who are working on other people’s ideas: Why? Do you like your work? Not intended as any kind of jab, this is a genuine question from someone who is super repulsed by any kind of work unless I’m passionate about the project itself. #gamedev

For those of you who don't know, in addition to my other hobbies, I'm also a "cozy gaming" YouTuber currently creating a let's play of Travellers Rest, a tavern simulation indie game! If that sounds like fun to you, please check out the playlist for the series here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Lgw...
