Oh god. This was a plea for help from HIM. He wanted that connection. He wanted better for Denji. Because the school was the only human thing he had. My heart

I think that’s why his only concern was “im no fun, huh.” Because he was playing a role he succeeded in and Death just decided to throw shade at him for no reason

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 05/09/2025

I think Yoshida was lying to Fumiko here straight up

So like they’re making the same pose here right

Yes yes this is good this is how I read chainsaw man

000

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

I wouldn’t be surprised if the ending of part 2 is about Denji saving Asa and Yoshida based on what they taught him. And they do the same with him. It makes sense and it also mirrors Yuko and Asa’s relationship. It also fits with the fact that chainsaw man is a hopeful manga.

010

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

And imagine, this entire time Yoshida was genuinely trying to prevent Denji from turning into Hybrid and never having a peaceful life. Now the tables have turned. Denji has to save his friend Yoshida from the weight of being a hybrid and never having a peaceful life.

110

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

I think Yoshida becoming a hybrid is very in character for him too. He’s afraid of death, he’s chained by PS and the plans of higher ups, he seems like he’s Judas in this story and he does want to save the world. It also puts entire arcs he’s involved in into more context.

110

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

I think he’s involved with nuclear weapons in some way and that’s why he appeared right after its revival. Its why he’s got some similarities to Reze in the new chapter too

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

I like chainsaw man and I think my enjoyment of the series was weighed down by twitter

130

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

I’m going to try to be more on here because I’m not ok with some of the negativity on Twitter and I do not like being angry all the time

Feather- Bucky’s death and trauma Cage- world Overall painting- part 2 These paintings- The current situation of both these characters underneath the context of the painting and death’s / war’s plan.

010

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

Both of these characters are struggling with the lasting impact of past war in their lives. And both of them are refusing to reach out because they are caged by the world. Death is attempting to keep this cage afloat and as it is, War is attempting to break it- and neither options are good.

110

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

And last but not least: bird feather in a cage. This one is complicated. I see it as the “big picture” of what part 2 is about. The feather represents Bucky’s death and his image is the war and internal conflict that follows. People fight to kill, and people die to fight.

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

he will be able to choose both the life of csm and Denji and still have a normal life. Two pictures of stars, showing the intensity of this dream. Moon is lingering over Yoshida, watching over him. The ground is also above the world checkers- showing that hes grounded with them.

110

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

Stars and sky ✨🌠 - Hopes and dreams Yoshida: A picture of earth and the moon. He is down to earth. However, on top of the chess board with Denji’s trees, a small glimmer of stars arise. He hopes to protect Denji from the other chess board. Denji: Full of stars, as he thinks

110

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

is still very naive about what’s to come. Another note is Yoshida has plants intertwining on his side, and it’s huge and on top. Perhaps the weight of becoming intertwined with the devil life has weighed on him.

110

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

Roses 🌹 - devilhood Yoshida’s side: A sharper, younger rose. Plants seem to represent devilhood in chainsaw man based on the inside covers. He has less experience with the devil life, but is sharper about it. Denji’s side: Large, round rose. He’s been a devil for awhile, but

110

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

Checkerboards ♟️ - plans Yoshida’s side: two, both with pieces. The one without trees is perhaps the world itself and its plans, which Yoshida sees half of. “The second checker board, with the trees and stars above, is his plans with Denji. Denji’s side: empty checker board. No understanding.

110

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

Trees 🌲 - denji Yoshida’s side: Trees on a checkerboard, separate from the other checkerboard, and they match Denji’s trees. Will explain later. Denji’s side: A tree right above his head. Denji is the tree- an immature cartoon, but still aware of his role as a hybrid.

How I personally interpret the symbolism of every painting here 🧵

1133

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 03/09/2025

Nothing about the plot would make sense if he was nuclear weapons hybrid before this. But the plot makes sense after.

010

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 03/09/2025

Let me clarify, he’s a hybrid after* nuclear weapons was recreated in 209. And I think that might be part of the tragedy- his friendship with octopus devil as a human vs his doom as NCW hybrid and he… can’t choose both options haha.

120

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 03/09/2025

And like. This isn’t me cherry picking shit like I did with katanail. I reread the whole manga and yeah almost all of Yoshida’s actions make sense if you see him as a human who’s destiny as the NCW hybrid is a ticking time bomb and he’s becoming something monstrous and his humanity is being stripped

honestly atp seeing people genuinely cast asaden as a beautiful romance or asa as the pillar of support denji needs just… makes me want to tell them (especially the girls in this fandom) that if your partner treats you like this during a crisis, if you feel like this around them… /you need to leave/

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 03/07/2025

truth nuke also I feel like they’d have a more meaningful relationship if Fujimoto explored that they weren’t actually all that great for each other at least right now 😭

Saw someone on the other site say that people just don’t want Asa and Denji to be happy and I feel compelled to reiterate that “I do not want a positive outcome” and “what we are seeing is not a positive outcome” are two very different statements

It's almost like Yoru offering Asa's body for sex and Katana offering to take Denji to a yakuza owned brothel for sex are BOTH bad and hinge on the abuse of women for men's pleasure! But it's dressed up like "consent" so Denji doesn't realize he would be perpetuating abuse! Still abuse tho!!

051

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 03/07/2025

I agree! But that is not what the discussion im having with others is because people aren’t on the same page that Denji is mistreating Asa 😭

this is coming from a place of not understanding that people without intention to do so can commit abuse Denji doesn’t want to rape Asa’s body. But he does want to have sex with Yoru and as far as we know has agreed to & this would be raping asa. He doesn’t understand it that way, but it still is.

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 02/07/2025

It doesn’t help that Fujimoto isn’t addressing Asa’s side of 167 either. He’s so far been doing a disservice to her character by not addressing it and “sidelining” her for allegedly symbolic purposes

050

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 02/07/2025

DENJI’S TRAUMA DOES NOT PURIFY HIM. it’s still there. It’s still valid. It’s not something we should use to excuse his actions.

150

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 02/07/2025

One of my oomfs is getting death threats for implying denji is a rapist (he would be if he went through with having sex with yoru which HE SEEMS TO WANT TO DO), and I’ve been told im virtue signaling and ignoring a grooming victim’s pain when im a grooming victim myself who sees myself in denji.

250

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 02/07/2025

I’ve literally been arguing this for the past 24 hours on Twitter about this thank you holy shit I miss you sm. Denji is a victim. Denji can still be a perpetrator

140

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 02/07/2025

I will definitely pick it up when 1. 167 is addressed ON ASA’S SIDE or 2. Nail fiend comes back because i also am autistic and i can be bribed. But to me this reads like Fujimoto either poorly pushing aside Asa on purpose or just not knowing how to commit to Denji doing bad things to her.

000

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 02/07/2025

Like a clockwork this new chapter made me drop csm because clearly Fujimoto kind of feels the same as those fans. This chapter is what did it for me. Bye guys

100

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 04/03/2025

No but his readiness + the fact that he’s kind of ignoring her feelings so he can kill death devil & have sex with yoru shows he doesn’t rlly give a fuck about her

110

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 04/03/2025

Chainsaw man fans on twitter are funny because Denji can be ready to kill Asa in the moment and go “can we not talk about bad things right now” and care more about having sex with yoru when she’s expressing her pain and fans will be like “nope he did nothing wrong here poor Denji yay Asaden 🥺🥺”

130

010

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 29/01/2025

So -if- chainsaw man is the reason why katana man gets released, how is katana man going to react to this?? Because now he will be in debt to his enemy

000

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 29/01/2025

Ok but like there are way more important things than csm!!! If you are angry and frustrated because of all the shit going on you’re allowed to be angry and frustrated it’s your acc. I hope you are doing alright though 🙁🙁 yeah our government is going down rn.

010

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 29/01/2025

010

NuclearKing Jamie 👑 @sunnysidefiend.bsky.social · 28/01/2025

This is why yoshida wasn’t given more depth, even a breadcrumb of information, after that ENTIRE arc where he was legit so mysterious
