I’m providing residents with practical tips grounded in expert knowledge. I’m working together with them to create a program that delivers disaster information closely for the local community. 2140

Hinata Tanaka @sunnyrm.wsocial.eu · 07/10/2026I decided to step down from a project. Although it offered experiences, burdens kept growing, and I struggled. Once I decided to quit, I felt a genuine sense of relief and was able to put more energy and enthusiasm into my real work. 030
Hinata Tanaka @sunnyrm.wsocial.eu · 06/10/2026Some even mentioned that, after the seminar, they purchased the very same items online that were used during the session! 010

Hinata Tanaka @sunnyrm.wsocial.eu · 29/09/2026Thank you for asking! Actually I can answer that yes and no. There’re many services by governments, companies , and locals for travelers to aware disaster risk in advance and it’s more advanced in metropolitan areas. However, in rural areas, that’s not as well developed as they in urban areas. 100
Hinata Tanaka @sunnyrm.wsocial.eu · 28/09/2026I’ll talk about the disaster prevention in daily life. It’s one of my professional themes! 100

Hinata Tanaka @sunnyrm.wsocial.eu · 22/09/2026I don’t know why but I always catch a cold during long holidays. But in a way, that might actually be a good thing. Since my brain isn't functioning properly, I'm forced to rest. Haha… 460
Hinata Tanaka @sunnyrm.wsocial.eu · 21/09/2026Time is limited, so getting cold myself is something I find unacceptable. I suppose the silver lining is that today is a holiday. 350
Hinata Tanaka @sunnyrm.wsocial.eu · 20/09/2026I had planned to publish a report on the heavy rains in Japan on my website today, but before I knew it, it was already 10:00 PM. Although it was Sunday, I spent the entire day writing other articles. 😢 140
Hinata Tanaka @sunnyrm.wsocial.eu · 18/09/2026I attended a seminar about national security by Nagasaki University and Seoul National University. It’s truly a privilege to be able to learn from an academic perspectives. This is one of the few opportunities in Nagasaki for citizens. 070

Hinata Tanaka @sunnyrm.wsocial.eu · 16/09/2026Today I studied a great deal, something I hadn't done in a long time. I feel like I’ve caught a glimpse of the kind of person I want to become. Someone who acts like a bridge between the academic world and the general public. 050
Hinata Tanaka @sunnyrm.wsocial.eu · 16/09/2026That’s wonderful! What is required varies depending on the place and the era, and in that respect, I feel you are a pioneer. 000
Hinata Tanaka @sunnyrm.wsocial.eu · 16/09/2026Thank you! For your reference, I've attached the slides I used in a recent seminar (though please note that they were hastily prepared and just translated). The Phase-Free movement is gaining traction in Japan, and I advocate for viewing daily food from the perspective of disaster preparedness. 000
Hinata Tanaka @sunnyrm.wsocial.eu · 15/09/2026I started my own business because the kind of work I wanted to do didn't exist where I wanted to work; however, I do take on other types of work from time to time. Doing so makes me keenly realize just how well-suited the business I built is for me. 150
Hinata Tanaka @sunnyrm.wsocial.eu · 15/09/2026I lectured in regions that are relatively low risk of disasters. While I focus on individual preparedness, I believe the specific preparations needed for a disaster also vary slightly from person to person, as in daily life. Therefore, I offer a framework to help the right approach for themselves. 110
Hinata Tanaka @sunnyrm.wsocial.eu · 14/09/2026They’re definitely within my field of work! I mainly deal with risks that I can study and analyze through academic research and evidence, including their likelihood and potential impacts. So, thankfully, I’m not primarily in the “end of the world” business. 😌 010
Hinata Tanaka @sunnyrm.wsocial.eu · 14/09/2026Last weekend, I held two disaster preparedness seminars and received a variety of questions from the participants. These questions serve not as inquiries to be answered; they also reveal to me the differences in perspective between those on the inside and those on the outside of crisis management. 240
Hinata Tanaka @sunnyrm.wsocial.eu · 12/09/2026I bought some goods for my disaster relief kit as a demonstration. Each item costs only 100 yen (half a euro). 0120
Hinata Tanaka @sunnyrm.wsocial.eu · 11/09/2026Reflecting on that again after 25 years, I think about the threat of terrorism and the hope for a world with less conflict. Yet things rarely unfold so simply, and ensuring safety amid these realities is the goal of risk management. 030
