I’ve seen so many AI-generated in-game screenshots in the community lately, especially on YouTube. Please don’t normalize this. #TheSims #TheSims4

Please stop using AI to "improve" thumbnails for your Sims build videos on YouTube. It's everywhere, and I hate it so much. I don't want to keep unfollowing creators I love.

Playing with a new Sim & I gave her lot the stray cat hangout trait... best decision ever 🤣

A grey tabby cat lounges on their back on a picnic table, one foot against an unimpressed looking Siamese while another tabby loafs in the background.

A grey cat. with its head in a wall, stands on top of a lounging grey tabby with a bobtail calico stands with its back to the camera.

A ginger cat's head is poking out of a cupboard

An insane looking ginger cat stands on a counter and yells

it too much cause its a life sim but its not trying to be sims 5. i hope people can respect that. im seeing so many high expectations for its "release" in dec and it feels like a lot of people are not really internalizing itll be early access and needs time. aaaah i also just hope sims can be saved😭

000

☀️🪴Sunleaf🪴☀️ @sunleaf-sims.bsky.social · 03/11/2025

i hope everyone gives paralives grace especially as i imagine a lot of folks will give it a shot just bc of the ea news. this kind of lifesim game is SO INTENSEto develop, which is why sims has held itself as the only one of its kind basically. lets let paralives breathe and grow & not compare

000

☀️🪴Sunleaf🪴☀️ @sunleaf-sims.bsky.social · 03/11/2025

it also genuinely scares me for any other video game company. its already a hellhole for devs in big companies because of ceos and shareholders but this really is exellerating. siiigh. and of all the games sims is one of if not the hardest to make an alternative to, too (its so intricate)

000

☀️🪴Sunleaf🪴☀️ @sunleaf-sims.bsky.social · 03/11/2025

and to be clear i dont expect anyone to make big decisions like this or even be able to. i hate that a lot of people focus more on sending hate to the fellow manTM than the shitass execs &unbelievably rich fks making these decisions for us. i hate these capitalism monopolies spreading everywhere. 🫩

☀️🪴Sunleaf🪴☀️ @sunleaf-sims.bsky.social · 03/11/2025

i really appreciate so many of the yt simmers deciding to leave the eacn and some even announce discontinuing the purchase of new packs. i can only imagine how stressful this is when its your job 😭 i hope that peoples combined effort can show negative impact 2 the shareholders who have yet to vote

To wrap up the Paralives Appreciation Weekend, just some thoughts: remember this is a game releasing in EARLY ACCESS and made by a tiny team. This isn’t one of those greedy early accesses (not looking at anyone) that just launch early to make a quick buck for shareholders. Its an UNFINISHED game

LGBTQ+ representation is built into the base. You can choose physical attributes (such as breasts, hips, facial hair or adam's apple - yes that's a slider!) regardless of gender, all clothes will fit everyone equally, there's a functional binder and there are NB gender options. Love to see it.

its so frustrating seeing these people deflect criticism with "whataboutism" when the issue brought up really is them choosing to be on a high horse and reserving THEMSELVES the right of access to dubious companies products BUT then criticising others for not instantly dropping stuff. 🫩
