I wish Republican politicians had the capacity to be embarrassed by their dishonesty. The fact that they don't makes them more dangerous.

it might be take a few election cycles to find someone who can rally everyone like trump did but it doesn't really matter, there's no "fever" to "break," this is just who the party is now. it's why you can't simply "turn the page" on trump or whatever dumb bullshit the losers are pushing now

Trump has now refunded $128 billion dollars from his tariffs to corporations. Tariffs he created, made Americans pay for, and then returned right back to his donors. We paid, and his friends cashed in.

Introversion isn’t an illness, but society sure treats it like one sometimes. If you’re quiet, like being alone, or don’t feel the need to socialize all the time, people act like it’s something you need to work on. Some people just enjoy their own company and there’s nothing wrong with that

Some folks will claim that this is hyperbolic, but what I wish people would understand is that tech initiatives like this serve as a means of eroding consent and lower the barrier for the persistent capture of people’s image, voice, data, or whatever else a gadget can glean.

Corporations spend more than $1.5 billion a year on union-busting. That’s $1.5 billion they could have spent on higher wages, better benefits, and improving workplace safety. Remember: if they weren’t so scared of worker power, they wouldn’t fight so hard against unions.

I always read MAHA's core claims as basically eugenics, with the bonus of grifting people with supplements. It's surprising how little this gets brought up. Many of the MAHA leaders are anti-vax because they think you should die if you aren't naturally "fit" enough to survive disease.

MAHA has been in power for two years. They have decimated basic science, gutted food safety surveillance and kicked millions of people off food stamps. *That* is their ideology, not their polite platitudes about corporate control of the food supply.

Second, MAHA isn’t all that concerned with treatment of disease anyway. Its core claim is that nearly all diseases can be prevented through virtuous lifestyles. If we were all drinking raw milk and taking zinc supplements, we wouldn’t be coming down with heart disease and depression and COVID.
