oh it looks crooked but it isnt. at least not by that much. i draped it over the form and took a pic not for social media, which is why its extra sloppy and ugly

its not perfectly symmetrical. i did my best. its super difficult. but im satisfied with this result. especially because i was indeed actually avoiding appliqué (too much bulk for an already very stiff, thread heavy design) im tired. im scared i will run out of thread. but i can sleep

comically put the bow almost exactly 2cm too high. however i actually dont care, because it lowkey looks awesome (and i can satin stitch by hand the vines so it doesnt have gaps) it is EXTREMELY hard to get the hoop on the fabric with both sides having a fuckton of embroidery i can sleep in peace

fake collar. zipper is in the back so there is a seam. ngl it might be kinda tall, i might bring it down

easy win. instead of a fake 2nd layer, i thought the lace would look nicer. i'll still have a proper collar up top, but for the ease to washing hands and doing work at an artist alley... elastic bracelet. it also eliminates the issue of extra bulk in the wrist

my friend is rather petite ( im using my petite dress form!!!!) and i noticed it was a bit snug even before i added the sleeves. it is really confusing. the lining fit her fine. the corduroy has (slight)stretch but the lining has none. the measurements were the same. just bizarre

and adding more room than i gave. that said, it was very easy to add more space to the upper back. just slightly annoying. the final embroidery is running now so pray for me. if it goes wrong i will explode btw

friend came by today and tried it on, because i had a BAD FEELING. i was indeed correct. for some reason, despite being slightly larger than the mockup in some areas, it desperately needed about FOUR INCHES added to the width in the back. the only thing i can think of is the sleeves pulling

im still coming to terms with it after a few years of refusing... but. basting stitches are awesome. theyre inherently evil because they involve handsewing, but they are indeed awesome

its so pretty. it has a decent weight and good like uhh.. not sure of the word. it makes nice folds!! nice drape? i guess. it does shed a little. or a lot. each fluff of the ribs goes flying, and it catches lint and fur like crazy. and its.... pretty warm.... but i love it, lol

i just really like this fabric. im glad i got my hands on it. break today sort of-- nothing of note will happen. i'll likely run one last test when i leave the sewing room. i cant handle the idea of hearing that machine running while i do other work today

everything else ive embroidered has been so small that it didnt matter. so im learning...... now

ignore that they arent actually flipped correctly. i decided i didnt care and i knew i was gonna throw this skirt away

for reference: i think if i allowed myself the mercy of the 5ft rule in 2026 it'd be fine. but unfortunately i am picky (stopped the 2nd print midway) you can see that despite changing a billion things the prints are almost identically ugly. which is kind of funny if i didnt want to bash my head in

that said, understanding pull allowance may kill me. it takes so long to do tests too

its funny bc in my brain, the outfit is almost completely done. lining is ready, top is made... all thats really left that hasnt even been cut out is JUST the collar. once this embroidery is printed and works right it will be really easy to assemble. but man. talk about annoying
