His basis for this claim was the civil rights act, actually? 🤷🏻‍♀️ He said landlords can’t restrict tenants ability to transfer rights to live there. However, he also added that the tenant likely isn’t able to transfer the duty/obligation to pay rent. So, kind of pointless I guess.

Today I learned that landlords are not legally allowed to tell you that you can’t sublet your apartment. 👀👀👀
