Maybe I’m biased because I’ve here, but i think its really easy to tell what is Canada and what is the US based on the positions of the great lakes. Now if we were talking about Western Canada and knowing where the border between Montana and Alberta is, that’s a different story.

Cities don’t hold much power in the Canadian system, they exist only as “creatures of the province”. The province can do whatever they like to the city without any approval or say from the municipality. A quirk of our system that leaves Chow at a huge disadvantage to act in comparison to Mamdani.
