I have been thinking bout getting a dog but I worry that I wouldn't b able to give a dog enough exercise so then was thinking of getting a kitten. I'm lonely but have decided humans are not for me 😂 but I feel guilty wondering if it would miss it's mam or siblings, seems I'm not d only over thinker😂

I particularly liked a quote from a poem that she quotes towards the end something along the lines of "keep your heart so soft that even the most careless of hands cannot break it"- there's a hopefulness in that.

I finished listening to this as an audiobook today, it was read by Louise O'Neill herself which I think really added to the experience of listening to it, I thought it was funny, sad & moving. I related to a lot of things she spoke about & just the emotion of her written voice #SpéirGorm #Booksky

Govt ministers are too removed personally from the lives of people who struggle on a daily basis to make ends meet. They’re recruited in a popularity contest and paid too well to empathise. They don’t care.

Would have been so simple to allocate to every child with DCA, it is a disgrace they have not done so. Also highlights how little a shit they give about carers, with a measly tenner a week increase, when many of them will be caring for children.

I had to spend the money I save up for the ESB bill on a bus ticket, for one term for my daughter to college. Why does SUSI not start until a month in? It is crippling, and it's peanuts so I won't be able to ask them for it back, they need it.

Yes it is terrible. They really don't care about people & children from more vulnerable cohorts. They really did nothing for older adults who live alone on a low income with a disability and, more generally.

They talk about how well the country is doing but it's doing well on the whole but the wealth in the country is really unequally distributed. Some people are broke, some are doing really really well.

In addition it's notable the cost of disability payment didn't extend to children with disabilities, if it is to be tied to a social welfare payment it will only be for adults with disabilities (and even then it is suboptimal). #SpéirGorm

I think those consultations were purely tokenistic. I think they had no genuine desire or interest to do something meaningful but they knew they had to do something, it was really lazy and lacking in ambition.

I was looking for a ring my dad gave me when I was younger for d last few hours, was in such a panic I couldn't find it, I found it & the Arwen broach (from #LOTR's) that came with a cloak one of my old Twitter friend gifted me, the cloak is so beautiful someone from Ukraine made it its stored away

Just met my friend 4 coffee, my legs are v sore but my cup is filled, my friend was buying his sis a bday gift. Was telling him I love Red Roses (Jo M) he said he thought it was lovely but also that it smelled like old lady 😂 anyway I spritzed it on a card so I could have old lady smell in my car.
